Now that's weird.

Something off the field we don't know about?

Yeah. There must be more we dont know.. There were questions as to why he didnt get more playing time in Pittsburgh last year.  This move now pretty much confirms that people were too high on him.  Where are those charts comparing JNo to Boykin now??

I don't think this is how you go about it. We just signed the guy, and before even seeing him in pads, we let him go? He passes up other good offers to come here, and then you do this to him?

Now, there could be some off field stuff but I doubt that with Boykin.

If you're a vet looking for a new team, this looks really bad for us as a team.  He came here pretty cheap, wouldn't surprise me if he took less to come here than somewhere else, then gets cut after all the FA stuff has slowed down.

I just don't understand this, unless some more info comes out, but I'm not sure how you take some rookie(s) over a guy with experience.

That's exactly what happened. He said in the thread I bumped that he took less money to come here and had offers from 4 other teams.

OR MAYBE MAYBE

we intend to start our rookies and since we had promised Boykin a starting position/playing time- we were doing him a favor by letting him go seek out a starting position on a different team

IT'S WEIRD THAT WE MIGHT NOT KNOW THE WHOLE STORY THO AMIRITE
