Panthers Release Boykin

From PFT:

Steward was a member of the Bills through April, but the 2015 sixth-round pick was waived in mid-April. He signed with the Patriots a few days later and spent nearly a month with New England before again being given his walking papers. On Monday, the Saints announced that they are Steward’s third employers in less than a month.

Man, what the hell are the Patriots thinking? Cutting this guy in less than a month? When other free agents see that, nobody is going to want to play for these guys.

Basketball and tennis

Were you ever on inexperienced teams that needed certain in-game experiences to grow both individually and as a team? That 2014 playoff game in Seattle in a hostile environment was it for us. We are a young team.

I don't know how this Boykin conversation diluted into this. But calling ppl sheeple for mentioning 2014 being a REAL stepping stone for this group of core players we have is dumb.

I simply replied to this statement:  "Until one of his strategies fail, I will defer to his judgement because he's been right so often"  by giving an example of a strategy failing and the conversation has shifted. People are so on the Gettlemen's nuts it's hard to keep any conversation that doesn't praise his roster moves as divinity in action from turning into a train wreck.

As has been said before, no one thinks Gettleman is perfect. We just think he's infinitely smarter than some random fans on the internet.

The past three years have been the most successful run this team has ever seen. We're positioned well for the future with top stars locked up long term and we have salary cap room to do more.

When you look at where we were just three years ago and then where we are now, there's  plenty of reason to trust the guys in charge.

The only problem is, your example is nothing but pure speculation.  It's also pretty silly, considering everything that happened that season, that someone would even propose that singular event, as the basis of their argument.

Please teach us your ways.

Seriously, cause I have no clue what in the actual fug youre goin on about dude.

It's a fairly simple methodology:

- Predict doom and gloom (for the team you supposedly cheer for)

- Run and hide when we win (because it makes you look like an moron)

- Pop up if the team loses and act like it validates you (it doesn't, but it's all you've got)

- Stick to the "if we don't win it all, we're losers" idea to validate your negativity (ignoring the fact that it's one of the most ignorant fan ideas in existence)

And perhaps most important, never forget that it's more important for you to be right than it is for your "favorite team" to win.

Basically, be a sh--ty fan.

Helps if you're also something of a dumbass.

The issue with calling it a 'failure' suggests that there was something else that could have been done and wasn't, but I've yet to hear a quality alternative. The OTs were overpriced crap that year (see: Anthony Collins) and by grinding it out that year the team is in a much better position than they would be with over-priced under-performers still on the payroll.

wut?

You make less sense the more you type.  Take a break, regroup and try again tomorrow.

Keep playing the stupid card, it really makes the best use of your natural talents.

I think you are forgetting what actually happened in that 2014 offseason. Gross and travelle retire, smitty was cut (yes that was the correct move), Greg Hardy fiasco, we couldn't spend money because we were about to pay cam, luke, td, and Olsen. With kk and star coming up as well. But the biggest thing was Cam's offseason ankle surgery. He was not the same all year. It was the perfect storm for a poo season.

The fact that we managed to slip into the playoffs, win a game (don't care if this was a qb less team, winning a playoff game means something ask Matt Ryan) then go to Seattle and play with the super bowl champs until the very end was invaluable for the growth of this team. All the while giving extremely green homegrown players playoff experience. People are on DGs nuts for good reason. No it does not mean he is infallible but you're gonna have to come up with a better reason to call ppl sheep then the one you just gave because it makes you look foolish.
