All he has to do is throw it up like he did against Norman and Luke.

True enough, but that is a testament to Julio... I just can't play Falcons players against Panthers players when we play them... it is one of those unspoken rules.

I won my league last year, and Julio will probably be my keeper, honestly.

But I think he'll actually have worse games against the Panthers this year with Butler coming up the middle, and some of our other personnel.

You seem really bothered that I didn't take the time to read your post. If I was 16 and wanted to respond with a gif, I'd probably use that matrix one where's he all like "what if I told you" and then added the caption at the end that said "nobody reads your posts" but I'm not.

I'm not bothered at all.  Much more important things to worry about than what you do, or think.  I'm just telling you, if you want to start a response with "I didn't read," or "I only read 'x' amount of lines?"  Expect the same treatment.  What you say after that is of zero value.  Little quips like, "that's just you admitting I'm right," just shows you're a piss-ant.  You want to have a discussion, and offer your opinion of what's being said?  We can do that.  I'm not playing your little games otherwise.

I didn't read this post at all.

when did I say he was?

I was just pointing out that you were railing against how bad McClain was and saying that a rookie wasn't going to come in any better, even though McClain has been in the league for like 4-5 years now, bouncing around and getting limited playing time. We signed him off the street to fill a need at the time. It isn't like people were ever expecting him to beat out one of our rookies at this point because we have never banked on him being a starter. One, if not more, of our rookies could easily step in and be more successful starters in some situations, especially given the preseason and camp to be in our system and not be thrown to the wolves in the end of a season.

I remember when the Huddle would get mad because they thought the rookies should get more playing time. There was too much "vet loyalty". Now the Huddle is mad because a vet got cut for rookies.

It's official. The Huddle is the psycho ex-whatever of message boards

THANK YOU!!  As someone who posted tons of stats last year to disprove the "Ron loves vets and never plays rookies" meme last season - and was ignored by many! - I am having a bit of fun watching so many of us panic at the thought that (GULP) Ron might actually play the rookies!!!

Very entertaining.  I'm totally enjoying the Huddle today!

Never understood this argument.  Under Hurney/Fox, many rookies sat, and it was EXTREMELY rare for any rookie to start, with the exception of our 1st round picks, and even then not always.  Davis, Stewart, Deangelo did not start their rookie years and only played very sparingly, and you would rarely ever see our 2nd or later rookies play much if any time.

While with Gettleman/Rivera, all of our 1st rounders have started or playing significant time from Day 1, most of our high rounders get a ton of snaps as contributors, and we even play UDFAs their rookie year.

Damn, man. I cringe at the thought of McClain ever sniffing the field. At least with Boykin I could have fooled myself.

Dear football gods,

Please, no significant injuries in the defensive backfield this season.

Yeah, I was hoping he wouldn't make the team. Seattle's 2nd half comeback in the playoffs was basically McClain just getting repeatedly torched by Jermaine Kearse.
