Great signing there Gettleman! $80,000 in dead money now. For a guy that never played a down for us, cut 2 months after signing.

$80,000 for security before the draft isn't a bad deal. In fact its fantastic considering $80,000 doesn't really do any big signings but did protect us if we didn't get the CBs we wanted. So nice try attempting to flame him. Ultimately you failed here.

Money for nothing is dumb. Cutting a very good veteran player for 3 rookies with no experience based off one minicamp is even dumber.

Where is this "very good" player assumption coming from?!? He's looking for his 4th team and his 25 years old.  His best year, 2013, his interceptions came from Cutler, Scott Tolzein and RG3, hardly elite company.  While I think we should have kept him around in case of injury, I think more of you are looking at his speed on Madden.

I'm drafting Julio in fantasy this year

I had him last year, and sat him only three times...

If I get him again this year, he will be sat three times. Matty Ice can't get him the ball when he's laying on his back.

It doesn't matter what you think, there's a plan and other unquantifiable cliches that don't actually convince anybody of anything but serve to play out the string and keep people from having to confront their actual thoughts on the decision to hand the reigns over to multiple rookies because of how they looked in gym shorts doing combine exercises.

Do you actually think that our reason for "handing the reigns" over to multiple rookies is because of how they look in gym shorts?  Maybe you need to do a better job of forming your thoughts..

There is logic and consistency behind Gettlemans moves even if you dont see it.  I agree that its dumb to just say no one should disagree with any of Gettlemans moves..  but a lot of people are too quick to say Gettleman is definitely wrong and if you dont see that, its because you are a blind supporter.  Lets leave some wiggle room in there.

The coaches have no say in what Gettleman does, are you smoking crack? Did you not see Rivera's reaction to Norman's tender being rescinded? The only check on Gettleman is Richardson.

I think you're on crack here. They have talked about how gettleman and rivera work well and with each other ad nauseum. Rivera and the coaches offer their input up the food chain to Gettleman, who is the man in charge and has the final say in all roster moves, but he takes into consideration all points and opinions from the coaching staff.

We aren't the 49ers dude, our front office and coaching staff work really well together. It's how we've won the Division thrice in a row, and how we made it to the super bowl.

I mean come on man, chill. You better believe that Rivera is giving Gettlman player updates on how they are integrating into the team and system, and in turn, Gettleman is doing what he can to improve the roster.

I wish I could go back and criticize Dave for making the Boykin signing and suggested that we should just draft a nickel instead just to have a nice little litmus test laid out of just what lengths people will go to to sacrifice their higher brain functions to protect the team from any and all criticism.

I remember when the Huddle would get mad because they thought the rookies should get more playing time. There was too much "vet loyalty". Now the Huddle is mad because a vet got cut for rookies.

It's official. The Huddle is the psycho ex-whatever of message boards

Wow this is really a bad move imo. You're throwing your rookies to the wolves. McClain was terrible starting last year. He got picked apart by opposing QBs. A rookie isn't going to start and help that right away. Just wow.

McClain wasn't a rookie last year

All he has to do is throw it up like he did against Norman and Luke.
