Please explain how cutting a veteran corner who has proven to be at least solid is a good move when we have 3 rookies that have never played a snap. Remember how Gettleman fuged the team over in 2014 with WR's? It looks like it's going to be even worse this year with corners.

Thank you for your season review in May.

This really IS popcorn-worthy....  Not a boring Monday, that's for sure.

Now with some subtle goading from J Jones, we've got Panthers fans tweeting Cromartie, and him replying....

Jonathan Jones Retweeted EWR

Idk a fan should tweet at him and find out

Jonathan Jones added,

EWR @roohso23
@jjones9 Signing Cro?

@Abert43 @jjones9 I love to come to Charlotte and play ball there. But it's not up 2 me. It has to be an interest from both sides. I'm ready

So we cut him so we wouldn't have to have a talented, veteran nickel CB for unproven rookie players to develop behind.

Oh the humanity.

Who knows, but you're crying over a guy that hasn't played a single down for us, more than people were crying about Norman, who was infinitely more important to us.

Think about it for a second.  Why did the Eagles let such a talented nickel go?  Why did he only start playing for the Steelers near the end of the season, when everyone knew their secondary was garbage all season, then they just let him go?  We're now his 3rd team in 8 months.  Something doesn't add up...

but but but according to some Huddle experts Worley is a bum!

I can't say that I am surprised at all. The 3 CBs we got in the draft are going to play well, often, and early.

Where has anyone stated Worley was a bum? everything I have read says he looks the part and was a stand out at camp. In fact he was picked player of the day but most on Friday?

Remember the team that he came from cut him when he was pretty much their only CB worth a poo. Maybe the steelers knew something we didn't about him until we had him on our team. Thats the most likely explanation.

That and maybe we really liked the  grasp Sanchez had on his role compared to Boykin.

I'm not thrilled with the move but I'm waiting to see more before i pass judgment.  I've seen enough from Gettleman to trust his judgment on questionable calls like this.

Define solid..?  Not being able to stay with a team doesn't sound that solid to me.

Maybe allowing some of our WRs to develop in 2014 allowed us to reach the Superbowl in 2015?  Or maybe it allowed us to sign some other players that contributed to our success.  Lets look at the entire picture.  Its not that far fetched.

    • Happy Thanksgiving y’all. Thankful for a very good team and for this group to talk canes.  Eat drink celebrate our win bs the rags. This team is cup ready.
    • I don't think should be seen as an insult, legitimately. Teddy's floor was consistently a good game manager to his ceiling of border-line top 10 QB who's arm strength didn't blow you away but could make all the throws and generally made good decisions and had some sneaky athleticism.  Teddy started on quite a few teams. He had a good start to his career, had a horrific injury that could have ended his career, came back and played himself into being a starter, got a contract here (and subsequently became another victim of Tepper's impetuousness), and then started games for a few other teams. Teddy could have been a franchise QB had he not suffered a freak injury, and then he just never ended up in another stable situation. He still had a good NFL career that could have been great without that injury. Teddy before that injury did look like a franchise QB, and I dont think that's a bad comp for Young nor an insult in terms of what his career could be based on that comparison.
    • Absolutely the wrong take. We have to run and gun. We have zero post presence. We just have to make shots. We just can't hit water from a boat tonight and we're turning it over to boot. Then you have a poor shooting opponent shooting lights out.  Looks like a long season ahead of us though if Hubert doesn't adapt to this roster. We have to play a pressure trapping D and get out in transition because we aren't beating anyone in the half court.
