Has there ever been a team that has tried so hard at being tough but no matter what they try they just come off as pussies?

It is not even that they are trying this....it is that they have tried something similar to this every offseason for years.  Yet, they still play like a Powderpuff Football Team.

they seem to be really big on gimmicks and it's worth noting that that's translated over two coaching staffs now

If you read the article its even lamer than it seems.  It was setup by the Acumen Performance Group, a consulting firm founded by  Naval Special Warfare veterans who emphasized they do NOT represent the SEALS and their training is not SEALS training.  They said "The workout the Falcons went through was nowhere near the SEALS 'Hell Week' experience".

So they did team building and carried logs while being yelled at by a consulting firm......

what an nfl player needs physically versus a navy seal are on completely opposite ends of whatever fitness/training spectrum you're trying pitifully to understand.
