Only issue is, every Power Ranking has the Broncos out of the Top 5 it seems.

They'll be highly motivated for that first game again.  God, and Mike Remmers will still be our RT.  Sigh.  Welp, at least there's alcohol.

Man we will blow out denver.  Cam is going to go full supersayin.

I'm willing to put money on Williams being our starting RT this year with Remmers sliding back into a reserve and utility role.

Remmers was an above average starter for most of the season. Then the Super Bowl rolls around and he is going up against a once in a generation player and gets schooled which leads to the Huddle continuing to call for his head. There isn't a lot of logic in this line of thinking.

I didn't say otherwise, just that Williams is a better option and was proving that fact before injury. There's no reason to not want the better player to start and saying so doesn't diminish Remmer's ability or value to the team.

William's ceiling is infinitely higher while Remmers has pretty much maxed out.

ESPN Las Vegas rankings (by a couple of handicappers) has us out of the top 5 at #6.

Here is their blurb about their #1 team, Seattle.  Still laughing.

Quote

1. Seattle Seahawks (27)

If not for falling behind 31-0 to the Panthers in the divisional playoffs (and losing only by seven points, 31-24), we could be talking about a dynasty.

It is an insider article but complete bunk.  here is link http://espn.go.com/chalk/insider/story/_/id/15495714/dallas-cowboys-rise-vegas-rankings-following-2016-nfl-draft-espn-chalk

Here is what they have to say about the 6th best team,   Hope we can find some swag somewhere.

6. Carolina Panthers (24.5)

It was looking like the Panthers were rolling along in the offseason and would take just about the same Super Bowl roster into next season -- and then they let star CB Josh Norman get away to Washington. We dropped them a few points off of that, even though they took cornerbacks in the second, third and fifth rounds. It'll be interesting to see if the defense can be the same without Norman's swagger.

It's literally as if those pimping the Seahawks think they can click their heels three times and make believe that line play doesn't exist.  Oz was a dream, KK, Paul, Vernon, Star, and Kyle are a reality $hitbirds.

Apologies for a slightly off-topic comment, but I don't want to make a new thread just to rant...

I guess I didn't pay much attention in previous off seasons, but I was just astonished today browsing at NFL.com.  Not only do we have power rankings before training camp, we also have lists of leading contenders for DROY and OROY before some teams have even held their rookie minicamps for goodness sakes.  WOW.  Talk about the most stupid articles EVER....!   Before you see these rookies play even 1 snap of NFL football you're going to start talking about rookies of the year?!?!?!?!?

And no, I'm not going to link the articles because it would be stupid to give NFL.com any clicks for such idiocy!

It's a numbers game.  I both hate the media and can't really blame them.  News on big city teams sells, period.  I dvr'd the NFL show on ESPN and watched a weeks worth on fast forward last night.  Never a mention of the 17-2 Carolina Panthers.  On today's show they finally did  a blurb on the NFC South but until we win the whole thing we are not going to be included in the news cycle of Dallas and Denver.

Dallas won't be relevant in October so they have to find ways to give their fans hope now.
