To be fair the haters can't let it go either.  He was never a Thomas Davis type of player that always says the right things but he did amazing things for this organization.

Yeah!  Especially those (what should have been) felony assaults!

Dude, #89 has *always* always always been about #89.  That's what made him capable of achieving so much at his size.  His quickness to take offense and use that as motivation.

He couldn't give a flying fug about the Carolina Panthers.  He's made that damn clear over the last couple of years.

Jordan Gross was with us for 11 seasons. We just let someone else use his number last year. And someone else still has that number this year. Tyler Larsen #69.

#87 wasn't retired and he was with us for 11 years.

But neither of those players are considered to be the Greatest Panther of all time, are they? Just me, I hope it does get retired. He gave too much to this organization for it not to be.

In respect for a player that has sooooooooooooo much respect for the Panther's organization, why shouldn't it be retired?

You do realize there is a history with this franchise before 2011, yes?

Steve Smith was often single handedly dragging the Panthers offense into victories for years before you hopped on the bandwagon when we drafted Cam Newton.

Awwww, you make me feel so awful.

But thanks for pointing out the difference between a player who carries his team as a team player and a player who doesn't give a poo about anybody but himself.  GREAT POINT.

Anyone can jump on a bandwagon.

You think you're some kind of gift to humanity?

By the way, Newton personally wrote a letter to Steve when he left. He obviously thinks highly of him. So unless you think Newton is wrong, perhaps it's time for you to stop shitposting, and admit you have no clue what you're talking about when it pertains to a history with this franchise for which you have zero connection to as a fan or a spectator?

Kthxbye.

Nah, baw.

I'm a fan-boy of a proven team player.

You're a fan-boy of a proven (though uncharged, but charged anywhere else in the real world) felon asshole.

DIFFERENCE.

Well Peppers was a 4 time All-Pro selection with us (6 all together) with 6 seasons of 10+ sacks as a Panther. He has the HOF stats and credentials to make it and we still use his number.
