Zach Sanchez did a radio interview on the Pulse yesterday:

Also, I think it already has been linked somewhere, but Jeremy Cash was on WFNZ earlier in the week:

Thanks as always for finding stuff like this. Keep it coming and the pie will keep coming.

The Zach Sanchez wouldn't play for me (possibly Android), but I  will try it on my laptop.  Thanks.

Boy,  Cash sounds like one smart cookie. Anyone that isn't rooting for this kid has some secret issues. I can't wait to see what he brings.

The Cash interview really sounds like these guys are trying to fill airspace with BS questions. They all sound like they ought to be commenting on NASCAR instead of football. Cash almost seems to be laughing at some of these questions, literally they are asking him questions about if he will continue his celebrations after making a play and whether he leads tackles with his head.  On the plus side, Cash does sound really sharp, it is hard not to like this guy.  He seems to fit the CAR mold as a good guy and hard worker.

I mean come on people, Cash went to Duke, He's a smart guy. He's not an illiterate mouth breather, he didn't go to UNC.

;)

I'm mad, but not mad.

I'm actually REALLY excited to see Cash. I don't think he's just gonna a special teamer like Jeremy said. His coverage skills have been blown out of proportion about how bad they are, he's certainly no better or worse than Landon Collins was last year, and I think he compares very favorably to him, and I think we'll use him a lot like we'd use Cravens if we drafted him.

He's not gonna be an elite, or even great deep ball ga, but you coach him up to cover the slot, TE and HB, which he's shown he can do well, and he'll be fine. He's also great at getting into the backfield on blitzes and run stopping. I'd expect to see him used a lot like we used Mike Mitchell, even if we don't have him listed as a SS right now.

He won't get many defensive snaps as a linebacker any time soon.

Yeah I don't think so either. I think he'll either flesh out as a back up S or play a Deonne Bucanon-esqe role.

Since they have him listed as a LBer I don't think they envision him as a safety. I was hoping he could end up our starting SS this year but doesn't really look like that could happen, or even that he could backup Tre/Kurt.

He said himself they've talked about him playing both, and I believe him. He can play both well, although I wouldn't trust him in deep zone very often. In sub packages is where he can find a role immediately.
