I've never seen a single episode.  I did watch a few of the older movies when I was a kid and liked them.

The Cage was the original Star Trek, but network executives thought it was too cerebral (they didn't understand it...) for the american audience. And maybe a bit too...gulp...progressive, with a woman first officer.

Deep Space Nine in the pale moonlight.  Best episode of star trek ever imo.

I agree he was terrible. But I still liked DS9 for the most part.

I always thought that the premiere of Deep Space Nine was among the top Star Trek shows ever made, and was disappointed when the series watered down everything good about it.

Yeah DS9 had a rocky start, couldn't figure out what to do, but once they finally got into the Dominion storylines, it picked up.
