Can this FINALLY put the capstone on the Josh discussion around here?  It's as good as any thread to go out on.

LOL just wait until one of the rookies get burnt for a TD which is going to happen because all rookies get burnt at least once or twice. That's going to be fun. If that TD happens to cost us a game then the entire internet may burn down.

And likely the Knights of Norman in this thread will be first in line with torches and pitchforks to scourge the rookies.

who the hell is being fairweather

if anything saying that josh sucks now that he's not a panther makes you a massive homer which is the exact opposite of that

If you on the bandwagon that Josh sucks/never was a good player now that he has gone to the Redskins but yet when he was here you were on this board shouting how great a player he was then yes that makes you a petty azz fairweather fan..as soon as these players leave for a better opportunity then its "he was never good anyway"..hence always finding fault..

I hate it that Josh left but I also understand why.. I have read comments here as well on facebook/twitter of our fan base bashing Josh. When our own current players have to get in the fan base azz to stop coming at Josh because he chose a better financial opportunity then it makes those "fans" look awful..

He's not making anything up..our fan base can be awful sometimes..

i call those human emotions actually.  most people probably aren't going to stay butthurt forever.  if someone was legitimately all about josh norman and then they say he sucks now that he's off the panthers then they're being inconsistent.  typically a "fairweather fan" is used in a team sense not with just one player.

and what this fanbase and local media does is kindergarten compared to the NFC east teams.  i am being 100% serious when i say that i hope he's ready.

The one thing I disagree with him on is that its a passing league. Maybe as a CB he's always gonna think that but if anything, the best teams now are the ones that have suffocating pass rush and can run the ball, it's all about the trenches, it's the reason the Colts havent been to the SB and it's why Denver has 1, Seattle 1 and another SB appearance and how we have three straight division titles and a SB appearance

I think a total of 2 teams ran the ball more than they passed last year. The Panthers and the Bills.

Josh is a cool dude.  That much is certain.

He's a Redskin now, that means I have to hate him.

That's how all of this works.   Just like the players do, we can be friends off the field.

You're on my team = GOAT  /  Not on my team = BUM

So Josh was in the green room during the 2012 draft? Really? His name wasn't one of the invitees. I get needing to have that mindset, but I call BS on a lot of it. His family had freaking horses...he says he's about that life...come on man, don't front.

I will say I have no idea why anyone would hate norman, he gave us 2 great years on a peanut salary, and then left and got paid. cant blame him, and thanks for the memories josh.

I only blame DG for not forcing him to play with the tag which he would have done.  he wouldnt have been happy but because of his age he was in a no win situation if we forced his hand.  would have sucked for norman but I have a hard time feeling bad for someone who was going to make more in a single year then I will in my lifetime. just saying.

I have no hate for Josh Norman.  Just we arent going to pay a CB the amount of money he got paid in our system.

This^^^.  Josh did what he thought was best for his future, the Panthers did what they thought was best for their future.   They both made the right decisions for the right reasons.

No hard feelings are necessary, best of luck to both parties involved.
