Your biggest concern going into the season?

Recommended Posts

Concerned the Panthers show up every Sunday and play a full 60 minutes. From the 1st minute of Quarter 1 and the same for the 2nd half.

Coaching Staff must be great 7 days a week and call a great game day and adjust on the fly.

Play to their potential, great effort every play and show up for the Big game. Everything else will take care of itself as we continue to "build a roster".

I'm not even sure what you're trying to say your opinion is but I'm sure it will change by the end of the hour.

It's  going to take longer than an hour to change my opinion that our secondary will be better by the end of 2016 than it was in 2015.  And even if isn't indisputably clear then,  it is my belief that it will be by the end of 2017.

Lol where did I say I was going to expend any effort changing your opinion?

I just know you.

Ealy playing on right where he showed he's better on the left. Thats what I see

Secondary, it's going to be rough the 1st half of the season

No depth at LT

Coaching staff sitting on leads instead of being aggressive to increase it

Shula still taking a while to get the play calls in

I listed about 5 though

Here is how I see it.

Norman > Benwikere (this is not close--assumng BB willl probably take the #1 WR)

Harper < Cash or Robinson (Not close--Harper sucked, Boston is no SS)

Benwikere > Bradberry (for a while-- Bradberry will be better than Benet in time)

Finnegan < Boykin or Sanchexz (again, not close)

McClain < Worley (McClain was picked on like a kid wearing a bow tie on the first day of school)

While Norman was terrific, Harper, Finnegan, McClain was not a dangerous combo.  Peanut was decent for a while, but wore down quickly.   I think we have upgraded our secondary, but it may not show immediately.  We are now built to get better--before, we were doing it with mirrors.

Secondary by far, bene hasn't look particularly good since his rookie year, i know he played slot but when he went to the outside before his injury,he still was getting picked on.Boston will be a major upgrade over harper easily, that's how bad harper was. losing norman will hurt just like losing hardy and smith.

OT depth

Wr is always a concern

No way you can say our secondary is better than last year.  Three rookies =/= All-Pro Josh Norman.  Even if scheme helped him, that dude could play and play well

Yeah, for sure, but the pick of Butler sort of negates that also. Like everyone has said, Short was tired deep into the games - Butler has been drafted so that, when Short is tired, we still have a poo wrecking beast busting through the interior line. I think we can trust almost any DB when the QB has less than 3 seconds to set his feet and find his reads.

Tru but I guess I'm just worried about early on in the season when the DBs are trying to find their stride. Bene needs to take a step up too from #2 CB to covering the best receivers.  Plus rookies obviously its gonna take some games

DEs by far, we've got Ealy who showed flashes and had a great Super Bowl, but haven't been consistent. Johnson, who has been injured often. Behind them are Addison, Horton (who has been cut once already) and a bunch of UDFAs from last year with potential.

If we go through a similar drought like last year when a DE only got one sack in 5 weeks (and that was a garbage time sack against Dallas), those rooks in the secondary will get abused.

OT, particularly left tackle if Oher gets hurt. At least we have insurance on the right side.
