When a player doesn't fit your system

If that great player is a QB I could see it. However, there are few great players worth changing your philosophy for. Your philosophy is what you do, who you are as a coach. Not sure many players can get a coach to change his philosophy.

You're correct. There are very few worth changing your system for. Prime example is Von Miller. Broncos invented a new type of 4-3 defense to accommodate him after he was drafted because they weren't running a 3-4 at the time. It's for unique talents only.

Well, you did say "Great" players. So if you ARE going to alter your philosophy, it might as well be for a great player. Who in there right mind would alter there scheme for just a good player? I don't see Rivera being that type of coach. He runs HIS D, if you don't fit it, you probably won't be on the team.

Typical huddle logic, josh Norman is gonna fail at Washington.

Why? Cayse he's suddenly no good?

Cause you think they play more man?

Hate the Redskins all you want to, but they wouldn't have signed Norman if he didn't fit.  Yes, teams make mistakes, but the majority of you seem to be banking on it. Pretty foolish.
