A Funchess Reminder

This WR group as gone from OMG no Steve Smith to a monster group.  Ginn and Brown are 5'-11"burners

But look at this roster of Monsters

Benjamin 6'5"

Funchess 6"4"

Hill 6'4"

Garrett 6'4"  (MY UDFA to make the team)

and that isn't counting

Olsen 6'5"

You line up one or two of these guys is imposing.  Just imagine seeing 4 of them out there at once.

So you think Philly is above average? LOL

I feel sorry for you, how many subjects have you flip flopped on today?

Go back to playing Madden.  My 11 yo son and 16 yo daughter knows more about football than your dumb ass.  Now go slap both of your parents for raising a complete moron and tool.

To the point, folks are sleeping on Funchess because he didn't have a monster rookie year like KB.  While Funchess might become a more dominate receiver, he's not at this point.  My hope is that he continues to develop.  I think we're starting to have a great problems:  a bunch of good guys and not enough balls a game.  We might be getting to a point where someone is always open...

I might weep with joy!

You definitely are consistent if nothing else.  However, the sad part is that you are consistently wrong, embarrassing, and ignorant.  Well done.

Lol, your brother from another mother...

Exactly, I doubt that he has a 1000 yd season even without having to split catches with KB, Ginn, Olsen and whoever else ends up on the squad, but he showed consistent improvement last year, and I see no reason to believe that he won't continue to get better. He was basically a non-factor for the first half of the season, but really did well down the stretch. I'm excited to see how he plays week 1.

And yes, I'm browsing old threads while waiting on Igo's daily updates.

Went to Taste of the Panthers a few weeks ago and spoke to Devin for a few minutes. He's ready. "Green" is the perfect word to describe him and he said as much in our conversation. He said he feels like he's matured over the last year. He mentioned how much Ricky Proehl has helped him become a professional football player rather than just being an athlete who played football.

Looking for big things from Fun! Fun!

I like Funchess, but we have a lot of WR that are the same size, speed and skill set.  We needed a true route runner with speed--i.e.. Shepard.  We needed DLine help and CB/S help and we got it.  But we totally ignored the fact that Denver bottled up our WR and they got no separation, hence exposing our second weakness--the Oline.  We did not address either.  Ginn is gone after this year and we have no replacement.

First of all the only wide receiver with proven size, ability and skill set we have is KB and now Funchess. Hill and Garrett are unproven. Secondly,  Shepard is 5-10 and ran a 4.48 at the combine. Funchess is 6-4 and  ran a 4.48 and 5.3 at his proday. So I don't think Shepard offers much we don't have in a bigger package.

Thirdly,  Remmers may be the weak link but the offensive line overall was a strength not a weakness.  With William's back this year, hopefully right tackle will improve as well. Let's see how Denver does in the opener against our offense with KB back and Funchess in his second year.
