Offensive Line

Absolutely! Does one really want to upset the continuity of a 17-2 Offensive Line when continuity is the most important attribute of that group? Changing up just because sounds like a dumb move!

Now if an existing position gets beat in camp....then we get better, but plugging and playing just for the "sake of" would be dumb dumb dumb

Who is suggesting that?

True, this is a good point.  This year, unlike 2014, we DO have some cash to spend.  That helps.  We don't necessarily have to shop the dollar store to find a starting-caliber OT who can be depth for us.

Obviously with Remmers & Oher, DG has shown that he can find decent OT talent outside the draft that fits our team.  I just hope that we can soon find a long-term young OT to be grooming for years of play and continuity on the line instead of relying on short-term stop gaps.

I think next years draft will address that, DG said he got tired of the short-term gaps for the secondary hence the investment with 3 CBs  and that should apply to the OL next year.

Anyone that wants to grab random OL from draft or FA and start trying to force it to work! I'm quite sure GMan is aware of the potential failures of our OL. But in his head this could go one of two ways, they get better or worse. Odds suggest they only get better with a year playing together. Plus, Oher should improve greatly now that he has some stability and confidence going through an offseason!! Remmers has Williams pushing him this year. Our interior OL is on the verge of being elite.

There is no one player that is going to improve our OL situation

We lost cause the SB moment was too big and our RT was left alone with Miller!

There isn't a damn OT in this League that's not gonna lose to a MOTIVATED Von Miller a majority of the time.

Yea your not gonna stop Von Miller but what we really needed was for the OTs to give  Cam a extra second to throw his pass, go to his  second  read or  for a WR to get open oh yeah and not get beat on just about every single play. If William would have played in that game I bet we would not have that stripped fumble. Just need better talent that can hold against elite pass rusher at least half of the time.

I can't argue that OT doesn't need upgrading, but overall we ain't bad on the OL, especially considering the one year turnaround.

RANKING ALL 32 OFFENSIVE LINES THIS SEASON

2. Carolina Panthers
Pass-blocking rank: 4th

Run-blocking rank: 6th

Penalties rank: 7th

Summary: The tackles are the weak spot of this line, but not so weak where it really matters for them (pass protection). The strength is obviously the interior, where Andrew Norwell (building on a successful rookie year), Turner, and Ryan Kalil are amongst the best at their position. They’re a foundation for success on the line.

We needed a viable RB outside of Stewart, Tolbert was brain dead that game! We need RBs that could pass protect. We needed a viable 2 TE set. We needed WR that could beat their secondary from the snap of the ball. Our WR needed so much time to get open. We needed a more opportunistic Defense. Denver attacked our weakness HARD. They challenged us to win by increasing our play development speed.....and we had no answer. That goes a lot deeper than the RT

Yes very true, the injury to stewart in SB destroyed our pass protection scheme, but unless we move up the draft board its going to be hard to find a Stud RB like J-Stew. For the WR we need to roll out with combo of KB - Ginn & Funch- Brown

Meh, I'm not gonna think that hard about it. Gettleman and Ron know what to do. They will make mistakes but oddly, they are able to minimize the impact of their mistakes.

Every year we have gotten better and better and better! We go a lil deeper each year. I'm fully expecting a Super Bowl win this year and I see no reason why we won't!

What really sucks is playing armchair GM is no longer any fun because we have true professionals at the helm of our team. Whatever the fans think is a problem, never really is a problem! We will not miss JNo. Sure, there will be moments we can scream JNo would have made that play, but I'm confident Bradbury and Worley have the mental maturity to become JNo level a lot faster than JNo did.

Question:  does anyone know about the PS-eligibility rules for Foucault?  Is this year make or break for him?  (I've always assumed he's on our PS as an "international exception" ... know nothing about how long they can stay on the PS).

Yeah, it's make or break year for him. He's accrued 2 seasons, and players with 3 or more can't go on the PS. His international exception applies to the 10 player limit, but can't override his accrued seasons.

Another question, while I think of it, in order to help me and others manage expectations about how & where DG might be able to find Oline depth:

What happens now with players who are cut from rosters between now and the start of TC?  Can they be signed by any team, or does the waiver wire system apply?  If waivers, that's a bit concerning given that we're #31 of #32 on the list of teams that could claim someone.

Normal waivers apply right now. Any player released with less than 4 accrued seasons goes through waivers. 4 or more don't. It's after the trade deadline in the regular season that every player released goes through waivers no matter how many seasons they accrued.

we lost the SB to poor OLINE play seems like we would address that poo at the beginning

So, in your opinion, drafting Germain Ifedi or Shon Coleman was and is the future key to stopping Von Miller?

You do know how ridiculous that sounds, right?
