I think its more about him just being tired of having to validate his plan or decisions to the media. They always bust his balls because of the BPA approach in the first, but that's exactly what should be done in the first. Notice that Dave doesn't buy into who the media or so called analyst say he should pick and he has been dead right all but one time so far. I have come to the conclusion that the "experts" have no idea what we need, but Dave does.

Well the media in general is pretty ignorant, stupid, and annoying. But the Charlotte media...they take it to another level of derp and what was that word another poster used? goober? yea they have a bunch of goobers askin dipshit ass questions.

Nice, Bradbury and Worley were in their top 6 of CBs in the draft!

Not the way I interpreted it. When he mentioned that they were the highest CB on their board after the four were picked, I believe he referres to the four CBs picked in the second round before Panthers picked Bradberry in the second. The presser was after round 2-3, and since they reset their board after the first round this would make sence.

It was five CBs picked in the first as well, so Bradberry & Worley were propable ranked around the 10th CBs on their board the way I see it.

Possible....I took it as face value meaning 3-4 in all ahead of them. He talked about feeling Bradbury would drop based on small school stigma due to the question of trading up to grab him

I know, you can see it both ways. The first way you see it will propable stick with you. With regard to him feeling Bradberry would fall to pick 62, it could have been that he felt it wasn't necessary to trade up in the second to get one of the four corners that went before in the second (and was higher rated), because he was comfortable that at least Bradberry would be there at 62

Bradbury was 5th corner off the board at 31 in the 2nd. 4th corner went at 29.

Would have been no need to think about trade up. Also, don't see the other 4 CBs in 2nd being on Panthers radar, maybe one of them, possibly two at most

Yeah, thats what I said. No need to trade when they were comfortable that at least Bradberry would be there at 62. The cost to trade up was to great compared to how much higher they rated the other 4.  But all that matters now are that they both are panthers, no matter where they were graded at the board. Hopefulle both of them should have been on the top of the board, two years from now

I like his comment, "It's gambling, we make educated guesses."  I don't know why but that stuck with me.  It sounds honest and even a little humble.

Honestly, every pick from #1 to Mr Irrelevant is an educated guess.

    • People forgetting Derrick Brown is on IR? We need pass rush on the edge for next year.
    • I don’t agree with the criticism of not calling runs. We tried and they weren’t working at all. Evero going soft with 30 seconds left and Tampa needing a field goal to tie is a firable offense. The 2nd down trick play in the first half was stupidity as was attempting the second field goal on 4th and short after we had already missed one.
    • We may have given up a lot for Bryce, which puts more pressure on the whole trade to work out, but it's coming around. If he plays like a top 15 QB, we can build a team around him. The CMC trade brought us the picks needed and looks like with his injuries to be the right call. A helluva talent, but injury prone. We also did the right thing a not giving Burns the big money as he's done nothing big. Yes, trading with the Rams would have been the biggest robbery of the century but even getting a 2nd was good (we would have only gotten a 3rd as compensation anyway). Those picks shaped what we did and what we are doing and if bryce continues to be better, we have a QB for at least next year and we can see what happens. He did not lose today's game and without Sanders and Coker he didn't have all his weapons and still almost pulled it out. Trust in Morgan and watch Canales get them all on the same page and playing like a team. A few more signings and one more draft and we can be a playoff team (if we kept playing like we have the last few games). Hope! Keep Pounding!
