So, replying to a post is now "looking for an argument"? Back at it again looking for negativity lol I get it though, it's right after the draft and the huddle wanna act childish and emotional. Continue on.

You were looking for an arguement, You came in this thread specifically to disagree with OP title. Or to call his thread dumb or some other negative thing.

Looking at recent NFL history. Quickly find me the last player that sat out games who has never had a million dollar contract.

Heres a hint

You can't

That has absolutely nothing to do with the contract negotiations between Norman's agent and Dave.  You can't assume it will be the same.  To do so is only speculation and a gamble that Dave apparently was not willing to take.

This is my favorite thing I've ever read ever,

Anyway, I said dropping off a bit, not are completely irrelevant. This is factual. There are craftier DBs that can play well into their 30s, Brent Grimes and Deangelo Hall come to mind, but they're not elite or even as good as they were a few years back. I'm not saying "Ewwww a 30 year old CB" but I'm saying that you don't pay 30 year old CBs 50 mil. Look at Revis now, sure he's still a top shelf CB but he's no longer an elite, shut down corner, being burned quite a few times this year (And last year).

And once again, Yes, they are the same age, but Richard Sherman got his 4 year contract two years ago (and 18 million cheaper, btw) and he'll be 30 when it expires. Josh will be 34 when his expires.

But because of Josh's age when he was drafted, he's played in a total of 53 games and has started even less. He has about 3 seasons worth of hits on his body, that's it. Thomas Davis is 33, but he's said that the seasons he missed due to injury kept his body from absorbing as many hits and has actually extended his prime career. Jonathan Stewart is 29 and is showing no signs of slowing down, partly because he's always split time with another back or backs. Using age alone and not talking about any other factor is silly.

i like how you specifically crafted this response so that nobody could bring up kam chancellor

Let see Chancellor signed a 4 year 28 million dollar contract before hand

But yeah comparing him to Norman whose total earnings through 4 seasons is 2 million, is a totally accurate comparison

HAHAHAHA

i mean i'm not gonna act like this draft hasn't been fuging weird as hell so far but the back and forth gets tiresome.  arguing with people whose default opinion is that he's an arrogant ego-driven overrated jackass and the best he can do is not horribly fug up gets boring fast because there's always something.

Carolina Panthers should be in the business of winning football games.  That is their purpose, NOT "paying this or that man"

If it works in the context of winning games, then they get paid, if not, they leave.

The Redskins have been in the business of "paying all kinds of men" but winning eludes them.  Just sayin.....

And Thomas Davis isn't making close to what Josh is.

My point isn't "NEVER SIGN ANYONE OVER 30" my point is you don't pay 50 Million Guaranteed to anyone outside of an Elite Pass Rusher or a QB because that's what the market dictates. You don't give 75million because this guy MAY be an exception to the rule.

Ageing is inevitable, no matter how many games you sit out.

And lol @ Jonathan not showing any sign of slowing down despite the fact he's only played all 16 games in a season three times.
