That has absolutely nothing to do with the contract negotiations between Norman's agent and Dave.  You can't assume it will be the same.  To do so is only speculation and a gamble that Dave apparently was not willing to take.

Thomas Davis is 33, but he's said that the seasons he missed due to injury kept his body from absorbing as many hits and has actually extended his prime career. Jonathan Stewart is 29 and is showing no signs of slowing down, partly because he's always split time with another back or backs. Using age alone and not talking about any other factor is silly.

And Thomas Davis isn't making close to what Josh is.

My point isn't "NEVER SIGN ANYONE OVER 30" my point is you don't pay 50 Million Guaranteed to anyone outside of an Elite Pass Rusher or a QB because that's what the market dictates. You don't give 75million because this guy MAY be an exception to the rule.

Ageing is inevitable, no matter how many games you sit out.

And lol @ Jonathan not showing any sign of slowing down despite the fact he's only played all 16 games in a season three times.
