Grade the Panthers Draft Haul Days 1 and 2.

We are going to find out just how good our scouting staff is. They've been pretty good as of late.

The 7 IPAs I've had say the picks are great.  The head ache I'll have the morning will say we needed an offensive lineman.

I don't see how people can look at DG's draft record so far and not be excited about these picks. That he loved these unknown corners so much to take them this high says a lot and I trust our staff 100%. Was among many worried when we let Josh go but this settles it a bit. And I don't think he reached for need, I think these two kids are going to be studs. And I loved the Butler pick. Our d-line is going to be nasty next year and hopefully the next 5 if we can lock up Star, KK, and Ealy. Maybe it's just because I'm a defense fan but I'm so damn excited for these young players and our defense as a whole. Our #1 offense didn't lose anybody and is getting KB back and possibly another HB or WR on day 3. I'm thinking we'll be the first team to lose the SB and go back the next year since the Bills, but unlike them we'll rise from the ashes.

I don't think we even need to rise from the ashes. We played a poor game and got arse fugged by the Officals. we know we're good enough.

Just an expression to make it more dramatic rather than saying "unlike them we'll win."

They went right back to the ashes 3 straight years instead of being able to rise the first time...

Solid B+ so far, the Panther's could move it up to a A depending on what happens with the 4th round pick. 

 

Bradberry was getting pull for being taken in the 2nd or 3rd round and late 2nd is basically a third anyways. 

Worley makes a ton of sense and who knows how actual teams graded these guys out as well. He can play safety and corner and that always helps a play make a team. 

Both corners are fantastic fits for the Panther's primary zone defense. Both players are big physical corners with 6-1 210 size with long arms and the athletic ability to high point the ball when dropping back.

It's an incomplete.  I know almost nothing about the two corners taken, and Butler was a luxury pick.  Right now I'd give it a C with a chance for movement up and down.  I just think we left too much offense on the table that was needed as well as CBs.

We have a solid roster with a couple of spots that could use improvement.  Gettleman was in a position where he could swing for the fences, and he did so with all three picks.  I'm in the "incomplete" crowd, but not unhappy at all.
