j/k.  Like the kid. Just don't like him in the 2nd.  If reports are correct and no one worked him out but us I don't see how anyone can claim with confidence he wouldn't of lasted longer

That's my thing...I don't dislike the player...but he would have been there at least in the 3rd and probably the 4th...just odd.

Walter football had him as a 3rd rounder as did NFL.com.  Good chance he wouldn't have lasted until our 3rd.

You have no fuging clue what you're talking about I'm allowed an opinion just as much as the next person and for you to try and single me out for something like that is pretty fuging retaded. But I wouldn't expect anything less from you my man.

I just pointed out that your opinion is wrong and makes no sense logically, you blasted people for making negative comments about a draft pick because they need to wait years to see how the guy develops, but somehow its OK to make positive comments immediately after a pick is made, no waiting required. it's just stupid and makes no sense

So you are implying you various sites are more reliable than Gettleman's scouts an league insider knowledge?

Does your crystal ball happen to have to lottery numbers?

I'm telling you how I formed my opinion. Again, we were the only team in the NFL to ever contact this guy. This just screams Armanti Edwards all over again.

Wasn't there a thread recently saying something about Gettleman having "quelled the beast" so to speak in reference to everyone on the huddle believing in his decisions? I was fairly solid in his corner although I'm still waiting on further results from KB, Shaq and Funch, the weird mess with Norman and NOW drafting a backup/rotation guy in the 1st round and then reaching for a CB who had to transfer from Arkansas St. where he was a safety so that he could play CB at Samford (Mike Mayock's comment).

If he hits on these guys and the 3 I previously mentioned solidify; it will be hard to ever doubt the guy but right now Gettlemagic is looking more shaky than it has been in a while...

I must remember it different, I thought people were reasonably happy with both of those picks.

The only pick of DGs I've seen as many people calling a huge reach was Kugbila, and they ended up being right.

People were lukewarm on Norman at first, more people liked him as they watched his Costal Carolina hi Highlight vid, by the time camp rolled around everyone loved him.

Bene, who we traded up for, was a literal unknown. No one had heard his name and the fact we traded up for him made people angry. But then Gettleman explained why he drafted him, because he's a goddamn beast and always around the ball, and people watched his highlights, people loved him. Some were claiming DROY.

Biggest difference is no one in Birmingham has a fuging decent camera for some highlight vids of Bradberry.

So Tampa did comically reach for a kicker then...because they got scouts and inside info too

The team clearly came to the conclusion over the last few weeks that Norman was nothing special. That his physical ability and size made him the perfect fit for our defensive scheme and that is what made him successful. James Bradberry is as close to a Norman clone as there is in the draft; Gettleman is putting his money where his mouth is on this one.

I for one love this pick. This guy has serious upside in our defense. While it took Norman about 2.5 seasons to come into his own, that was almost entirely because of his terrible attitude early on. If this guy, who the team interviewed and worked out, has his head on right, he could be really good really quick.

But like I said in Jeremy thread

None of them were 2nd rounders though. Both were 4th rounders. Bradberry is too raw to be drafted in the 2nd round, he would have been there in the 4th

Where in the fug did I say any of that? You are just making poo up you don't make any sense. I made that post at the people who continually bash who Dave picks and end up eating crow after the player turns out to be a good player I don't give a fug if you like the player or you don't I trust who Gettleman picks because he's the GM I don't understand what argument t you're trying to make here? Are you insinuating I'm some dictator who stops people from having an opinion? Do I control your life? What the fug is this conversation seriously.

Doubt it! Probably wouldn't have made it past the Seahawks if he made it that far.

Big bodied, athletic corners that have high ceilings are drafted based on potential.
