Top 30 players left after Round 1

Although I would love Shepard to be our pick, I don't feel as if a WR is a BIG need. Philly and Ted were more than good for us and getting KB back is a big boost. Put Funch in the slot and Ginn/Brown opposite KB and we could still blow the lid off our opponents. I'd very much rather have Hunter Henry or a defender like Wes Cravens or Mackensie Alexander.

I have a feeling this draft for us is going to be heavy Defensive.  We had the #1 scoring offense in the league without KB and we are getting him back.  KB, Funch, Ginn, and Corey paired with Olsen is dynamic.  DG feels confident in the OLine going through offseason not signing anyone.  I see this going best player available on the defensive side of the ball.  youll see a DE, CB, or S taken at 62 if we don't move up.  I don't think any of the offensive guys like Sterling, Hunter Henry, Derrick Henry, etc will be there at 62.  I've seen a few updated mocks having us draft RB Booker but don't think hes a round 2 guy.  point of this comment is your going to see another Defensive pick.  Stack that D.  D wins Championships...

Positions that are thin would be WR, OT, and CB.  Look for folks to move up at the top of the second for anyone left, like say an Alexander CB, Sprggs, OT.

This moves DE's and DT's on down

Remember, our offense was the highest scoring in the league, so no huge need for either Henry, not even sure Shepard could get on the field at this point, so no need to move up for them.  If they are there at the end of the second, then who knows

If we move up, I could see Dodd/Ogbah because we probably had Butler rated around 20th best player, might have had Dodd/Ogbah at 28 or so.  This would be like Ealy, having a 1st round grade and a good reason to move up in the second

Actually Dallas, Tampa , Atl could all take DT/DE and move others down.

Getts will definitely trade up, too much value left on the board, and other teams may be boneheaded from time to time, but they're not dumb. I want O-Line to be the pick to be honest, but I'd be really happy with any player Getts picks. He always does his homework.

we will likely trade up purely because we don't have enough room for 6th and 7th round picks. 3-4 higher value picks will upgrade the team. a few extra guys who aren't an upgrade, and have no experience, won't make them team, and are wasted picks. might as well use those picks to move up for your guy.

I'm starting to think DG is content with the DE group, so a guy like Ogbah may not be in play unless he fell in our lap ala Kony a couple years ago. He's talked about the potential of some of the practice squad guys before like Cox and Miley. He likes Delaire. And we already have CJ, Kony, and Addison so I think we may stand pat at DE.

One of the Henrys, Fuller, Cravens, Shepard, etc. please.

may as well trade up. as stacked as we are talent-wise on the roster already there's not going to be room to keep 7 guys from the draft. may as well turn a couple of those later round picks into better position for the guys you know you're going to want on your team.

If you told me 4 DTs would go in the first, the only one I would've gotten right would have been Rankins (Saints). Not that the other guys aren't deserving, it's just a stacked class. I think Green Bay started the run at 27, and we should see guys like Robinson, Reed, Billings, and others go quickly tonight.
