Jake is our best choice.he is our qb.when we we make playoffs again i do not want to hear a peep out of any of you

Dude, nobody is saying anything bad about Jake. We are all saying that we just want the coaching staff to consider drafting a QB before the 4th round or so. I don't know if Jake is your cousin or brother or uncle or what but please relax on the whole Jake thing. If he plays great this weekend then thats awesome, I think most of us are expecting that he plays pretty decent. So stop with all the Jake lovin stuff. Try another thread or something because its getting you no where on this one.

excuse me can you type a little better and use a little more spacing, we can't understand you when you're using only one hand to type and gently stroking your delhomme wall poster with the other.

No I don't have a problem with you at all suprisingly. I just don't understand why you are getting so pissed about what people say (or in this case, don't say) about Jake. If and when he plays well this weekend those people will shut up because they don't know any better, most people just copy what everyone else is doing and run with it. Jake is a good QB who is just going through a bad stretch right now. Then again if its the end of his career and he just physically and mentally can't do it anymore then its time to move on.

Steve owns Jake in every important passing category. Steve also never had the weapons (including the '03, '05, and '08 (for the most part) defense and '03, '05 (for the most part), and '08 o-line) like Jake has had. Jake had the best offense around him in his career last season and he still managed to have the highest number of bad games he's ever had. Steve had to deal with a bad o-line, RBs that couldnt stay healthy, and a average at best defense his whole time here. He's never had a top 5 receiver or RB ever.

INT/TD Ratio

Beuerlein: 1.72

Delhomme: Excluding 07: 1.5

Completion Percentage

Beuerlein: 59.6

Delhomme: Excluding 07: 59.6

QB Rating

Beuerlein: 87.9

Delhomme: Excluding 07: 84.7

Games Played

Beuerlein: 51

Delhomme: Excluding 07: 76

The Completion Percentage is the same, but Steve did this all in 25 less games.

If you want these states where the games played is closer, this is what I did in 2007...

INT/TD Ratio

Beuerlein: 1.72

Delhomme: Before '07: 1.53

Completion Percentage

Beuerlein: 59.6

Delhomme: Before '07: 59.5

QB Rating

Beuerlein: 87.9

Delhomme: Before '07: 84.65

Games Played

Beuerlein: 51

Delhomme: Before '07: 61

Steve still is better.

Killerkat you raise some good points.

I think/hope that #17 will prove his worth as the season (and more importantly PLAYOFFS!) progresses in such a way as to show that Beuerlein has got nothing on #17. Of course I could well be wrong and he'll suck but to quote a "great" coach "It is what it is."

edit: #400 woot!
