Matt Miller: Panthers have done "heavy work" on Michael Thomas

1st-round skill-position guys are expensive to hold on to, after their rookie contracts are up.

Im leaning towards trading out of the first if at all possible.

Okay but he wasn't wrong about Humphries. If he was there at the next pick he would have been the selection.

Just for comparison, Michael Thomas has 10 1/2 hands, KB has 10 1/4 hands, Cam has 9 7/8.

In my mind, Michael Thomas is the 2nd best receiver (2nd most complete) in the draft.

My Top 5 would be:

1. Josh Doctson

2. Michael Thomas

3. Laquan Treadwell

4. Corey Coleman

5a. Will Fuller

5b. Sterling Shepard

 (The 5th receiver depends on the type of guy you are looking for. Either the deep threat or the good route running slot guy.)

id be fine with it . all the early mocks had him as the 2nd wr of the board idk what caused him to drop but it works in our advantage

Matt Miller is great. He's also the guy who warns us to believe NOTHING we read or hear coming out of front offices this time of year. That being said I believe Michael Thomas or/and Braxton Miller end up being the best WRs in this class.

I agree, and a slower clone at that.  He's definitely not worth a first.  If I even considered drafting him, I wouldn't do it until the 4th round or later.

Don't think there's a chance he falls to the 3rd, let alone the 4th. Probably an early 2nd guy.
