My midnight hour mid round draft crush - a Razorback

I've been doing some more looking around for players to be interested in that I haven't paid attention to yet, and this guy caught my eye.  I watched a highlight video, watched some breakdowns, and if we don't get Derrick Henry or Devontae Booker, I WANT this guy.  3rd round or later would be good with me.  He has crazy good feet, takes tiny choppy little steps that lets him change direction on a dime and maintain his balance.  He also has great ability to get skinny going up the middle and has really good wiggle and seems to have really good vision.  His top end speed isn't elite, but his startup speed and stop and go is really good.  I think really quickly he'll be Deangelo in his prime good.... if he can bulk up a little, even better.

Bonus:  New dream mock draft, double dipping Arkansas.  1st-Ogbah or Dodd, 2nd-Hunter Henry (or Sterling Shepard), 3rd-Alex Collins, 4th-Harlan Miller, 5th on-BPA irrespective of position.

Just now, NYPantherFan said:ESPN just said his weakness is pass catching

Eh, I don't but a bunch of stock in what the talking heads say, depends on which talking head it is. But I haven't watched every game of his, so my sample size of seeing him pass blocking is really small. I know when I did see it, he was aggressive about it. That's the biggest problem I often see with RBs pass blocking, letting the rusher come to them (thereby getting more momentum and bowling the RB  over).

I'm not in love with his running style. He seems to stutter step a bunch before moving north south. He dances in place then makes his move. Could be him setting up the defenders, but you can't really get away with that in the NFL. You have to be decisive when you make your cuts, no wasted movement or you'll get caught.

I wouldn't be upset over the pick, he's a solid back.  However, I'm more of a Daniel Lasco fan myself.  But I don't see us taking a RB in this years draft.  The only back I could see us taking would be of course Henry and that only happens if he falls around the middle of the 2nd, and players like Cravens are gone.  Then I could see us trading up to get him.

I might even prefer Collins to Henry.  His change of direction, vision, and ability to get skinny are lethal.  Only realistic RB for us that I'm still pretty sure I prefer is Booker, but it isn't by a large margin.  And considering Booker's injury, it may be very close.
