Wow: Norman tried firing his agent and signing the tender, but Gettleman had already rescinded

I just wonder... who is responsible for the coaches and scouting department that we have?  I just don't know, for the life of me, who makes sure they have a job within the company.  Hmmm.....  Guess I'll never know.

Then why didn't the "2/3" we had before have success with the old "1/3"?

If the person picking the players doesn't get good ones, then all the coaching in the world won't matter.

Discounting or downplaying the contributions of the front office is silly, especially given this team's history.

Haha I like the way you spin it, bravo my friend. I'm not discounting front office but it is not the main factor it's just a part of the system and credit should be given equally. GM draft players becaus he knows the the player has the " talent" it's not like he is using his magic power to give him NFL talent. Players have to refine their craft learn, the positions, and most of all put in the dedication. Same goes for the roles of the coaches. Like Gettleman says your never 1 player away from a SB and a NFL team is never 1 GM away from being the best team.  Success of a  team works on all parts working together.

@Nick_81

P.S . It  actually is the president of panther Danny Morrison since he  hired  Dave and is in charge of Panthers football operation  oh wait no it's Jerry Richardson who hired Morrison and founded the team oh no wait it's God who gave  life to Jerry Richardson .  It's the same scenario as did the chicken came first or the egg.

Its called a job,Dave hires and draft  x&y  so the x & y can do their job not Dave doing their job.

2/3 was not successfull before Dave because it was developing just like a baby needing  to crawl before walking

System: a set of connected things or parts forming a complex whole, in particular. Aka football organization.

Geez, what a silly argument.

No one suggested a GM gives the players talent or does the job for them. Their job is to find players with talent and negotiate reasonable contracts to keep the best 53 together.

That's pretty important, as is evidenced by our team history and by numerous other teams whose bad GM's have made it difficult for them.

Your notion that the men who are in charge of every single player decision and the hiring of coaches are somehow only a small part of things is just silly.

Again your spinning it my friend I never said that. Your argument implies that we only have success because of  a GM who seems to be a god to most huddlers.

I always have said success of a team is based off:

1/3 players

1/3 coaches

1/3 front office

Nobody has said that the GM is the only reason we have success.

We're just shooting down the stupid suggestion that they're only a minimal portion of it.

Well I never downplayed the importance of a GM but a lot of huddlers where downplaying the importance of coaches & players.

It doesnt matter lets look forward to a great season and get this SB since everyone gets rings & pies.

No one said anything about where he was put, when he left you still wanted him at Safety and maintained that he was a good Safety.

FOH, just admit you ran your mouth off not knowing what the hell you are talking about, yes I did want Godfrey at safety over decoud and Harper, a plastic bag from walmart could have done a better job then those two.  Going off his performance before the injury we was still a good safety,so gtfo with that bs I was more concerned that he got put at cb then safety after achilles injury

Cpt Slay a Ho was livid about losing Godfrey....even after he sucked ass in ATL....totally talked Godfrey up like he was his cousin...I mean like he was worth a poo.

Original post mentioning you in bold...please explain to everyone how you feel that losing Godfrey to ATL is being concerned with him playing CB....go ahead.

But you are doing a marvelous job of proving that other guy right about being on the otherside of an argument with you.

The most recent reports have it at 10M per.

Regardless, Jeremy even spoke with him at varous points theoughout the season, and even he will tell you he didn't think it was about the money for Josh.

He just took it because once we rescinded our offer, why would he give anyone else a discount?

I honestly don't care what was, or wasn't offered.

Josh has had since the beginning of March to sign his tender.

He did not.

If he simply would have signed the franchise tag, none of this would even be talked about at this point.

I have no problems with Gettleman not offering Josh 14 mil a year, as it would have been a mistake, regardless how much I love Josh Norman.  He is not worth what he got from the redskins.

The search function on this site being so bad saves a lot of people I'm sure...myself included but the fact that other people besides me remember and want to have the opposite stance of you when it comes to losing players speaks for itself. I have no reason to reach as I was responding to someone else who remembered you and brought it up...if anything you aren't doing a good job of admitting and moving on or defending yourself...you even admit to liking Godfrey and call him a good Safety.

Godfrey had a few INTs that one season and yea a few people like you think that is being a good player.

Word has it that he was about to sign the tender when Gettleman burst into the room and knocked the pen out of his hand.

I'm not trying to claim that I have an in about this whole situation, but I just asked my buddy about the whole thing. He gets his hair cut at the same place as Norman does and they ended up becoming friends and text every so often. He told me that after the pen was slapped from his hands, Gettleman whipped his dick out and smacked him across the face with it while saying "bup bup bup" with a menacing grin.

Completely savage.

Again wtf are you talking about ? I don't want to hear excuses, and what other people agreed with you ???  I had no gripe with Godfrey and thought he was a solid safety and I tend to like players even if they leave I know that's a Rare occasion around here, but just run along I remember vividly the thread you are talking about because a poster named WOW created it but I'm not even going to drag him in this because it's beyond petty to call someone out with little proof other then one person pieing your post, so do yourself and me a favor and go find someone else to lie on
