Wow: Norman tried firing his agent and signing the tender, but Gettleman had already rescinded

Haha I love your argument , yea it's called the development phase and ironically Dave came right around the time players tends to show . What does Dave Gettleman says " it takes about 3-4 year to develop a player coming in as a rookie"  Just like it took Seattle cpl of years to develop before they won the SB. Dude Gettleman must love  you for sucking his balls dry. Get the fug out of here

Try to follow along.

Cam was a badass his rookie year.  Maybe you forgot the whole ORotY/pro bowl thing?  Kuechly was also a badass his rookie year.  DRotY/pro bowl, remember that?

3 fuging guys aren't the reason for 70% of the team's success.  That's the point.

Edit:  I'm not saying it's all Gettleman either, if you haven't been following along...

Meh you can argue Cam is the reason for at least 50 to 60% of this team success, last season especially. This is a QB league at the end of day.

People on here like to harp on other teams for going out and over spending in free agency but a lot of those teams don't have franchise QBs. Put Cam on the Dolphins they win the AFC east, Tannehill in Carolina we don't make the playoffs.

And how did this team that was stuck in cap hell for years afford to sign Cam (who I agree, is a huge reason why we win games) to a long term, top five franchise QB contract?

One more time: Who picks the players that make the plays?

Quick hint: They don't draft or sign themselves.

who picks the player? The GM but with help of the scouts and input from the coaches to select a player that fits the coaches system. It's a system a where each part depends one another. Its like which came first the chicken or the egg.  2/3 > 1/3

Getting rid of a incompetent GM, that doesn't mean the GM we have now is the greatest thing since slice bread.

Either Cam wasn't gonna go anywhere else, every GM in the NFL would have done everything possible to sign their franchise QB.

That's his job like its players job to makes plays and coaches job to put players in position to win. It's a system where the whole is greater than the pieces.

Then why didn't the "2/3" we had before have success with the old "1/3"?

If the person picking the players doesn't get good ones, then all the coaching in the world won't matter.

Discounting or downplaying the contributions of the front office is silly, especially given this team's history.

I just wonder... who is responsible for the coaches and scouting department that we have?  I just don't know, for the life of me, who makes sure they have a job within the company.  Hmmm.....  Guess I'll never know.

They're volunteers.

So it's greedy to take 75m/ $50 million guaranteed?

If he tried to get a deal done at the last minute cool but in the end he had months to deal with it.

Hes just doing damage control.

He could have turned the $50 million down and come back for one year,....... If that were true.

At the end of the day, GMan has a plan that doesn't include 15 per year 28 year old corners.

However I don't blame Josh for taking the $50 MILLION.

That was the one and only chance he ever had of getting that kind of paycheck. When it comes you can't hesitate,... So good for him.

that is all,...

TF? now you're talking out your ass.........i was not thrilled with putting a guy coming off a achilles injury at corner after he hadn't played the position since college, GTFO and try again. especially when soft ass decoud was at safety

No one said anything about where he was put, when he left you still wanted him at Safety and maintained that he was a good Safety.

I can't speak for everyone, but I think most of the people that have called him out have done so because they didn't believe him when he said it wasn't about the money.

To be fair, acknowledging that money is the reason that he left isn't necessarily the same as calling him selfish. Nearly everyone here has agreed they would do the same thing.
