I have a feeling about Ogbah after the Observer's article

ealy was much better in college bro , ogbah looks like a 3rd rounder at best . he has pass rushing talent dont get me wrong but he has no clue when it comes to the run

Ealy in 3 collegiate seasons - 96 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, 6 forced fumbles
Ogbah in 3 collegiate seasons - 133 tackles, 35.5 tackles for loss, 35.5 sacks, 5 forced fumbles

Ogbah was also better in each stat (outside of FF) in each individual season. It wasn't just one monster year to get him those numbers. Double digit sacks in back to back seasons. Not sure how you can say Ealy was "much better in college".

Well how do you account for Ogbah's arguably superior stats?  Even if you argue that they aren't  necessarily better,  they are in the same ballpark.

Even though I'd prefer Sterling Shepard, I'm fully onboard with Ogbah.  My ideal draft would be to take one at #30 and trade up in the 2nd to secure the other.  Hope Harlan Miller is available in the 4th since I'm sure our 3rd would have to be used to move up in the 2nd.  If he isn't, oh well.  I think Shepard is a slam dunk and is the exact type of WR we need to compliment KB and Funch.

Incorrect. He completely shut down Boykin as a dual threat who was the best run threat in the entire conference last year.

I remember a few people saying that about Kony Ealy.

The good thing about Ogbah, is that he will have time to learn and develop.  Of course CJ and Ealy are the presumed starters, but Delaire and Miley have a certain amount of upside yet to be determined. If G-man picks Ogbah, I don't see how anyone can argue with it, first round or not.

somebody forgot about Mario Addison. :P

I think we're going to try and trade a pick from next years draft to move up in the 2nd this year.

No, I didn't forget about him, I just didn't mention him because he isn't really starting material, as much as he is a situational speed rusher. Of course the report by many scouts is that Ogbah needs to develop more than just the speed rush, with the presumption being that his athleticism and upside will allow him to do that at some point in the future.

So basically Addison was not really germane to the point that I was making.  After so many years, we already know that Addison provides good depth, but that his upside is limited.

Note that Ogbah's positional coach said that he already has more moves in his repertoire, but that they just weren't needed.

Edit: I did forget about Cox however.

Color me the happy-go-lucky Pillsbury Dough Boy lost within the fluff of this latest Charlotte Observer piece,  but between Ogbah,  the visit,  and his college positional coach,  Joe Bob Clements,  I believe that if he's there (which is a higher likelihood than some other mollies that have been discussed),  he will be the pick.

He thinks he's a fit,  and I don't believe it's  just because he has studied tape.  I think it's  because he has been told that by coaches. And I just don't  mean his college positional coach who is also on board with the idea.

Between Ogbah's work ethic,  character, willingness to be coached,  and especially  his gradual improvement that was on full display as his college career came to an end (Remember Getty talking about Kelvin Benjamin?), I have a feeling that his name will be on our card Thursday night.

First of all, in reference to your post in another thread, I am honored that you called me your buddy.  Thank you.  Secondly, I think this pick makes me the most comfortable and makes the most sense.  None of the other ideas give me the calm Ogbah does, and I think he will be there.  I think you are right, and I hope this happens.

Ogbah will be very successful DE in NFL...  He's arms are like fuging tentacles.  His speed, arms length and motor are amazing.  He will be a nightmare for OLmen to block...  He reminds me a lot of Aldon Smith.

Edit:  I just looked up Aldon Smith and they have the same frame, arms, hands and even 40 time...  Ogbah 9lbs heavier.
