Hmm...why isn't a single Panther, not even in the secondary, mad at Josh?

For those that are saying Dave should have forced Josh to sign the tag and play, just how does he go about doing that?  Hold a gun to his head and say sign it or else?  Drag him kicking and screaming onto the field and force the guys to keep him out there during the play?  Explain to me how you force a guy to sign his tag?  I'm serious here!

Yeah, again, for the millionth time, that was a decision for 2017. We already had his tag budgeted for 2016 and we were looking fine.

You're mistaken, his tag was never "budgeted".  Norman was tagged in hopes of working out a long term deal. $14M is more than Gettleman was ever really willing to pay for the position.  When DG realized the long term deal wasn't going to happen he cut bait.  The "budgeted" tag money can now go to the DL contracts potentially pulling everything one full season forward.  Think about it, paying KK or Star this year will free up more money for the future making it easier to spread out the KK, Star, and KB contracts.

DG had a plan all along, Josh and his agent's stance just confirmed it for him.

No one really did anything wrong and no reason for anybody involved to be bitter, Josh got his deal and Gettlman didn't overpay for the CB position.

That would have been quite a gambit on Dave's part since Josh could have signed the tag a week ago and Norman would have been paid the $14 million no matter what Dave wanted.

If the truth is told there are some current players on the team that don't like Gettleman and resent his cheap ways particularly when it impacts their  paycheck. But they love the coach and players. That is the nature of the business.

I suspect a large portion of our locker room isn't big on Dave.

If you are going to GM the Patriot way then you need to be a post season fixture each year....then players will like his ways.   Can't repeat our winning every other season ways...and not have players hold a grudge for his style
