It's better than the alternative.  I mean we could sit here and wallow in missery because we didn't sign any big name free agents and managed to kick Josh to the curb.  There's no hope of returning to the SB according to some on here so we might as well through in the towel now because we don't have anyone competent to run the team and we have no quality players on the team.  Just saying...

I really think the game has passed him by a bit....im not expecting a great year from him 5-8 sacks would be awesome. that said he doesnt have to be great if he can just get some pressure we should be fine.

I expect vet leadership and decent play.  I think if he is our best DE we likely have problems.

I hope he stays healthy this season.  If so, I think he'll be the CJ we've seen before.  8-10 sacks, and solid run defense.  I would be very happy with that!

If he does well, he might get a couple more years of playing time out of it, and millions in his bank account. He's motivated and he's good veteran leadership for the line. I think we can reasonably expect 7-9 sacks, but he could get into double digits, especially if Kony really plays lights out.

To be fair, he wasn't healthy until, damn near the playoffs.  He looked pretty damn good after that.

Pretty much. He didn't get much attention last year from offenses. 

 

KK Short is the real threat and other teams know it. Hopefully Kony will build on his Superbowl performance.
