Fwiw, I did hear on mike and mike this morning that the last person who got the tag taken off so late ended up re signing with the same team. (I'm old and cant remember who it was)

OK everyone listen up: The reason we let Josh go is because Gettleman didn't think Josh was worth $14 million a year.

Josh would have basically been a 1-year rental player. Similar to Peppers or Hardy. 

Gettleman realized we're better off long term if we just use that $14 cap space to re-sign Short, Star, Norwel, Addison etc.

We're a zone heavy defense and we believe Josh is replaceable in our system. 

This is NOT Josh Norman's fault !!    Just really good business on Gman's part.

Still have to wait to see how this pans out but GMan even offered Josh 7.5-8 mil a year before he had his breakout year and he turned that down...then 12 isn't good enough...yea he may have been  cool and poo in the podcasts and all but you'll have to forgive the rest of everyone for thinking he's all about the money when every action he's taken has been thus.

Honestly if he signs with Washington for some 15 mil....to think he could be cut before half of that "real money" kicks in if he gets beat down by OBJ and Dez 4 times a year...Washington has a poo defense man Josh could really be fuging himself hardcore with this. Some people think what Gman did was embarrass Josh...well Josh could very well embarrass himself as the media market he could go to will destroy him if he gets destroyed on the field....and you really wanna up the ante on OBJ behind Washington's defense?...good lord Norman is on top of that one for the time being....could get reversed so hard.
