Panther players responses to Josh Norman's release on social media

The idea is that there is an expectation of some kind of "thanks for the good games" from teammates.  You saw that when Smith was released, and Deangelo.  Now that's not to say Josh wasn't a well liked teammate.  But it is a little telling.  It's like announcing you're retirement and everyone going "meh."  You just tend to hear a little more chatter about these kinds of things, so I guess it is a little odd.

Exactly, it's not the least bit required at all.  Just a tad bit expected.

Maybe, just maybe,  teammates are not talking because he wasn't actually removed from the team? I mean nothing is done yet. It would be stupid for a teammate to say goodbye just yet. Damn, the man is now a free agent, but hasnt signed on anywhere else. I personally dont care either way...but stupid thread is stupid waiting for others players to respond to a situation that hasnt played out.

Players will wish him luck and say  he will be missed. If your waiting for ranting and raving, forget it. Hopefully they know not to cause a social media. scene. Thar crap won't play well with D.G and R.R.

So before the psychologists on the Huddle start analysing this situation into "well derrr of course Jno had to go, none of his teammates liked him" just remember there are more ways in which players communicate with each other and if one of my best mates was going to another state I'd probably pick up the phone and talk to him privately.

You mean my phone call to tell you happy birthday is way better than posting it on Twitter? Say it ain't so
