He wanted long term deal and basically Carolina didnt want him here. It's why this seasons offer wasn't substantially better then last offseasons.

I'm not mad about it necessarily.  Top CBs have continuously proved to not be quite as valuable as the big timers' contracts have let on.  Not mad, not content, we'll see what happens.

assuming he wants at least $16 million a year, there are currently only 8 teams (Panthers excluded) with more than $16 million in cap space: Jags, 49ers, Browns, Titans, Bears, Giants, Colts, and Bucs.

Btw, I had a feeling this would happen when the Panthers said they would franchise him. People were acting like Norman would just go along with that. I knew he wouldn't and here we are.
