Panthers rescind Norman's franchise tag...

Of course around the nfl is reporting that the Panthers did in fact have a huge offer on the table for Norman. No yrlling what that really is, but based on those words it would have had to be over 12.5 a season.

This is quite funny coming from you. You'll be the main one in here crying if the secondary is Swiss cheese next year.  'Some of you worry too much' haha. 

Anyways, I'm not mad at either side. Josh did what he had to do, and the panthers did what they felt they had to do. I can't really blame Josh, because at 28, he probably wants some security and to be fairly compensated. The Panthers philosophy is to keep a stout d line. Can't afford to pay a CB top dollar. Both parties will be ok. I do hope Josh goes somewhere and continues his success. He's a very likable guy.

One thing I do fear is an Antoine Cason situation. We cannot afford that again. People keep bringing up that 2013 no name secondary defense. That secondary got gashed by Kap in the playoffs. If there's a CB Dave and them really like in the draft, they really need to try to get him.  Also, really need to try to sign Short this offseason, so we avoid this mess next year.

Norman is a darn good CB and I'd love for him have continued to play for the Panthers. He'd rather chase money instead of continuing to build within the program that he's a huge part of. I hate to see him leave but not near as much as I hated to see SS leave, sooo
