THE OFFICIAL 2016 NFL DESSERT MOCK DRAFT

Jeremy Igo

Recommended Posts

Today I will be mock drafting the top desserts of 2016.

I will be updating this OP as the day and evening go on.

Feel free to add your suggestions for each upcoming pick.

This.... is serious bizness.

Pick 1

Warm Apple Pie A La Mode

With it's warm flaky crust, gooey filling with just a hint of cinnamon, this dessert reigns supreme above all others and earns the top pick in the 2016 Dessert Draft.

Pick 2

Classic Hot Fudge Sundae

In a surprise move, the second dessert overall is not a baked dessert. The classic hot fudge sundae is a year round favorite worthy of the second selection.

If you don't like hot fudge sundaes.... go now... find a quiet place... and end your life.

Pick 3

Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies

No, not the chips ahoy garbage from the grocery. We are talking soft, chewy cookies that when you pull apart strings of melted chocolate break off.

Pick 4

Pecan Pie

If you argue against pecan pie here, I am afraid you have no business in this discussion. Pecan Pie is simply delicious especially with a lump of genuine whipped cream, none of that cool whip garbage.

Pick 5 on the clock....

    • Shemar Stewart is a borderline first round talent. No way he should be the 8th pick in the draft because of his combine. Picking him would be the equivalent of Legette over Ladky. Higher ceiling, but much lower floor.
    • Morgan has been a bit underwhelming thus far, but I'll give him another offseason, draft and season before I begin to form some hardening opinions about him.  It appears a few here are half-way I praising him for his work in free agency. I don't mind paying or maybe even overpaying a little bit (that's a Panthers tax for sucking for the better part of the last decade) for a bonafide star like Robert Hunt, but I feel like he didn't have to pay Tershawn Wharton or Patrick Jones II as high of a number as he did.  We'll see what he does next month on the 24th-26th. Then we'll see what it all boils down to throughout next season. I can't exactly love him or hate him, but as a former Panther, he still has some goodwill in the bank.
