The Carolina Panthers' quarterback was honored by the Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York for his efforts as a community advocate. Newton's involvement with the organization dates back to at least 2012 when he gave the Charlotte chapter a pre-Christmas surprise.

I don't watch ESPN regularly anymore but I can't imagine this is a big story and it should be. I try to not let the Cam haters get to me but it sucks when they don't get the entire story about the guy.

David Newton did a snippet of an article, but just mentioned he was there, and that he was dressed pretty snazzy.
