This is my thing as well.  Next years RB class is fuging stacked.  Fournette, Chubb, Perine, just to name a few.  Derrick Henry will be the first pick in the Gettlemen era that I will say "yeah, even I could've done better than that."

Chubb is a beast, if he stays healthy he will be a feature back in the NFL.

Sounds like Marc James saying DON'T pick Cam because NEXT YEAR'S QB class was supposed to be awesome.  Nick Foles is better than Cam people!

Not to mention if those dudes are REALLY that good they won't be there at 32.

I've gotten the sense lately that if he's on the board that Butler will be the pick.  Unfortunately, That would also mean that he's likely Star's replacement (even though we would still have Star for two more years).

If Butler is gone, though, I think Ogbah will be the pick.  I feel fairly certain that one of them, at least, will be there at 30.  Both would strengthen our DL, but Ogbah is a bigger current need.

I think both Henry's could be good players for us, I just don't think either are first round values.  Hunetr is being propped up because it's a weak TE draft, and Derrick is being pushed because he is a traditional downhill runner, which fits our MO.

Also Dalvin Cook. He might end up as the best of them all.

Then there is Christian McCaffrey who could maybe stay in school but is ridiculous.

Next years RB class is insane.

All those guys will be beast in my opinion.

Purely my personal belief but I thought Fournette wasnt the same after the horrible performance he had in the AL game plus the arguments about carries for Henry can be made against him as well if he has another yr like lasy yr, but, I dont know more than a GM or scout so if we took him I am sure I would have a jersery of his the next season. Whoever Gettleman took or takes I cant argue with and wont.

As a Tennessee fan, I've also got to include Jalen Hurd, as I think he'll leave early. He's even bigger than Henry (6'4 240) and had 1300 yards last season in split duties with Alvin Kamara, who I also think leaves early, and will be a good change of pace guy in the NFL.

As for D. Henry, I don't like the first round selection on him, but I trust Gettleman's evaluations 100%. His picks have been stellar thus far during his run as GM.

Sit tight at 30. See who is there and who is left. Move up to early 2nd and grab another top panther-ranked player. I could see us going DE and Hunter Henry. Then target secondary and DT with whatever picks we have left. I think this strategy aligns BPA with our needs and the values of the players in the draft. We know G-man has an eye for linemen. I think he gets off on knowing he can find value in the later rounds and with UDFAs.

"If you draft a RB in the 1st round he better be a 3 down player right away" -DG

Does Gettleman think Henry is a 3 down back? He's not good in pass protection and has very limited experience as a pass catcher though I think he is better at it than most give him credit for.

Big Jalen Hurd fan, he's quicker and more physical than Henry.  Really think his stock is going to explode this year.
