Just getting into the top ten won't get you any of the guys who are going to go top 3. What you'd give up, trade wise, for those guys, would hurt a lot more than just the pain of getting into the bottom - like 8-10.

The 10th pick last year (Gurley) signed for 4 years $13.8M, around $3.5M/year, plus the 5th year option if exercised. $3.5M/year on a non-bust top 10 pick is a great deal. I'd never trade up from 30 to top 10. Would be silly with how well DG can find talents in later rounds and day 2 rounds.

I don't believe this thread is about the real possibility of trading up as much as it is about who you would pick if a trade up were really practical.
