Also a game that is really concerning me is week 16 vs Atlanta, while we will be at home that week, we only get a 5 day turn around considering we play Monday night week 15. that is essentially a Thursday night turn around and with it being so late in the season some guys who might be banged could miss out on it. Still its the Failcons so I think we get it done, I hope.

I thought this too but Atlanta only has one more day than we do and they have to travel.

The only games I think we have more than a tiny chance to lose are @Seattle (second west coast game in a row) and maybe @Atlanta (or some other random div opponent).

The interesting thing is we will probably stay out west after playing Oakland while Seattle will be travelling back from Tampa.

Benji will win Comeback Player of the Year

I hadn't even thought about this award, but yeah he has as good of a chance at it as any. Who would the other possibilities be? Jordy Nelson and Tony Romo, for sure. Cam Wake, Steve Smith, Joe Flacco, Jamaal Charles and Leveon Bell would be some others.

im saying 13-3.  #1 seed with home field advantage again.  BOA is coming one of the more difficult places to play in the NFL with our home streak still intact!  Make it another 8-0 at home.   I think the back to back west coast games get us.  I think we start off strong 3-0 and I think ATL plays the game of their life at home week 4.

I love how much you hate Seattle... Hold it down for us at that game Sunday night

It's not their team, it just their fanbase is a joke. Talk all this poo when they win, pop out of no where, then when they lose they all are silent and disappear. These past 4 months have been amazing. No joke either, a Seahawks PRO SHOP opened up at the mall out here back in Feb 2014 (literally a few weeks after winning Super Bowl) and it closed this last February. Like they weren't in the super bowl so they had no sales and had to shut down lmfao

Why are people so scared of Seattle? Last year they showed that they are heading back to reality and we did all that without KB and a lot of Corners. Not to mention Marshawn is gone and they literally have done nothing in FA.

nobody's scared of Seattle, but the back to back West coast (staying out there) games could be an equalizer.

    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
