I don't think Denver is going to be that good this year. Their D is obviously incredible but they don't have a QB or RB. Even if they acquire Colin Slapperdick or Tyrod, that team is going to have to hold teams to six points.

Thus, the rematch doesn't have that much appeal.

Not much appeal?

The matchup sells itself.  The only reason it won't be the opening match is because the networks want to save it for later when ratings are needed.

The Super Bowl was generally regarded as being bad and I can see how he typical fan would think that, so a rematch seemingly wouldn't have much appeal. There is pretty much zero reason to start the season with that game.

As a Denver resident (yes, the past two months have been absolute hell), we don't get as much snow in the actual city as stereotypes suggest. The chances of enough snow falling in November/December to derail transportation are low. Many of our bigger storms come in March or April, like, well, this weekend.

I have two seats at face-value to the game promised from a close friend with season tickets. I'm hoping it's primetime and early in the year to maximize the hype and excitement. The Broncos are destined to be a .500 team. A late-season matchup won't hold the same appeal. Not to mention I can't wait to beat them by two touchdowns; the fans here are insufferable with their Cam-hating obsession. Don't even get me started on Von Miller.

Kind of bummed we play both AZ and KC at home, as both of those are doable road-trip destinations from Denver.

I still can't understand why Bronco's fans hate Cam so much. I've said it before but they act like they are the team that lost. It's weird.

Pie'd for the pain of being in enemy territory. I know the feeling

My Facebook feed was a steady stream of anti-Cam articles for the entire month of February. I can't wear Panthers gear without at least one person saying something along the lines of, "Well I'm just glad Cam got humbled and learned his lesson." The stores are all still filled with Super Bowl Champs gear. At the Rockies home opener, a guy on the street was selling "NO DAB ZONE" T-shirts with a screenprint of Cam rolling on the ground.

It won't make up for losing the Super Bowl, but words can't express how much I want to witness a Mile High curbstomping this season.
