Good Riddance Kobe

Yeah, I hated his guts for the majority of his career, but i have grown to respect his skill, work ethic, and ability.

But, I will never ignore or forget his forcing himself out of Charlotte, him riding the coattails of Shaq for his first couple chips, him needing all-star supporting casts for all of the chips he won, and him being an overhyped, selfish, shot chucking, counterfeit-Jordan absent any shred of authenticity throughout it all.

But yeah, respect.  Bye.

Who's better, Scotty Pippen or Pau Gasol?

That's subjective.  As the article pointed out, Kobe had less win shares than Pau.  Did MJ ever have less than Scottie?

Also, what about supporting casts full of former dominant players? Glen Rice, Karl Malone, Gary Payton, Isaiah Rider, and thise are all off the top of my head and were in addition to Shaq and Pau.

Yeah herein lies the problem. The rosters Kobe won with post Shaq included the likes of Adam Morrison, not the overthehill gang you remember.

Are you implying that Andrew Bynum is not an All-Time great?

He still was less important to his team than Pau, regardless of the supporting cast.  And how many of his championships did that lineup win?

Regardless, we can make jokes about Bynum now, but until he became a fat, lazy malcontent, he was widely regarded at the time to be the best young big man in the game outside of Howard.  He had a huge hand in them winning while he was there.

Furthermore, Ammo didn't play for them.  He got a ring for keeping a seat warm in his suit.  If you have a former Top 5 pick as your 15th man, then your team is pretty deep.

Ariza, Bynum, Fisher, and Odom were all at one point considered among the best at their respective positions based on what they were asked to do (i.e., Fisher facilitator/spot-up clutch shooter in triangle O, Ariza as a slasher and 3 and D guy, Odom jack of all trades and mismatch guy, etc.).
