Good Riddance Kobe

Recommended Posts

Steph Curry took the Steve Nash mold and added a little bit more height and athleticism to go with limitless shooting range.

LeBron James took the Magic Johnson mold and gave it the physicality of a linebacker, substituting Magic's flair that made "Showtime" so fun to watch with more of a bull-in-a-China-shop style of play.

The stars of today have helped evolve the game of basketball into its present form by taking cues from the past and adding their own style. But Kobe felt more like just an imitation of Jordan, from the 6'6 height, to the killer midrange game, to the superstar who just couldn't let go of the court until long after he probably should have.

His accolades ahow he did a pretty good job with his imitation, but in the end it almost seemed like he was trying too hard to be someone he wasn't, as opposed to understanding his role and aging gracefully like his fellow 00s stars Duncan, Dirk and Carter.

Couldn't stand him for spurning the Hornets. Still think he's a cornball and snitch for diming out Shaq during that Colorado scandal, but I've always respected his game. Salute to the black mamba. 20 years in the game...i was 7 when he started.

Unless they retire along with Kobe, there's still Duncan, Nowitzki, and Carter left.

Everyone involved in that game should be embarrassed. 50 shots in a game I guess is fitting for probably the most self centered player in history though.

Clearly you have your head up your ass.

50 shots to score 60 points.

Micheal Jordan for his career hoisted almost 25000 shots to score 32000 points.

Do the math.

The butthurt will be enjoyed for years going forward as it has been savored for 20 years. Thanks.

Worst shooting % in the league for a qualified player this year, yet still took the 3rd most shots in the league per 48 minutes. Kobe is the career leader in missed field goals by over 1000. He took an NBA record 50 shots to score 60 points. Curry scored 46 points in 24 shots, do the math. He was a selfish me first player his entire career, and went out as only he would shooting 50 times.
