Hmmmmm..... Could happen. A bunch of guys would need to fall off the board before 30 though.

They're not off the board in his draft, he just wanted to save them for other teams in the second round. Derick Henry, Ogbah, Vonn Bell, Hunter Henry are all on the board when we pick in his mock.

I wouldn't think Ifedi is even in the conversation at #30.  I would be beyond confused really.  But I trust GettleFather, it would be a head scratcher for me.   I could tolerate it a little better at the bottom of the 2nd.  I could see us using the 30th pick on someone like Sterling or Henry (either) and then actually trading up in the middle of 2nd like last year and getting that CB or SS we need.  Gettleman values his picks like gold and is going to do whatever he can with them.  Low risk high reward style.

Maybe the worst mock I've seen regarding the Panthers - and that includes all the wacko ones made anonymoysly on message boards.

If McShay or kiper truly had any respect from NFL front offices or if they knew what they were talking about .....both would be working for NFL teams. The same goes for that idiot that appears on FNZ occasionally, Kevin Wetzel or whatever his name is

Well if you put it like that....hmmmmm I guess ANY mock draft "could" happen.

I'd be willing to bet none of those players are drafted by the panthers.

They don't have respect for NFL offices, they have respect for clicks. "Woah, Derick Henry falls to the Seahawks in the second! He would be a great replacement for Lynch!" will get way more clicks than "Derick Henry to Panthers to be their back-up RB."

Not necessarily. There is a lot more job security doing this for ESPN than there is for an NFL team. Daniel Jeremiah was offered the Eagles GM job and he decided he'd rather stay at NFLN for job security and family reasons. Most of the work can be done from home. Kiper has reportedly been offered jobs by NFL teams before that he's turned down as well.
