Round 1-

Kevin Dodd- DE Clemson- 6'5'' 277

This guy had a top 10 buzz after the CFB Playoff, however the media hype has cooled down for him. This pick was a case of BPA, I do believe that Ogbah, D. Henry, and Bullard will still be available when we pick. Dodd is a balanced player who does a great job vs. the run and the pass. This pick will keep our rush strong for the future as the effectiveness of Chuck Johnson is a crap shoot at best .

Round 2-

Su'a Cravens - S/LB- USC- 6'1'' 225

Cravens is a tweener, some say SS, some say LB, I say football player. Cravens is not the best athlete, he ran about the same as Shaq and had a piss poor vert jump of 27'', that is 300 pound lineman bad. What makes Cravens a good football player is his instincts, he knows where is going before he and others get there. I feel like we value players who can cover the middle of the field and protect us from those match-up nightmares like our very own KB, Funchess, and Olsen. Cravens can do that and can make a hell of a difference at the line in run support.

Round 3-

Harlan Miller- CB- SE Louisiana- 6'0'' 185

We trade up just a few spots for this pick using our pick in round 5 due to the need to secure this player. I feel like we are higher than most on Miller as we have met him multiple times, have had a private workout, took him to dinner, etc. Miller is a copy of Josh Norman, he can play a football when it is in the air, but on the downside is also rail thin like Norman and nothing exceptional athletically. I like the way that he plays the run with effort and plays the ball like it is his.

Round 4-

Willie Beavers- OT- Western Michigan- 6'4'' 320

Beavers has good feet, legitimate NFL tackle feet. The rest of his game is not there yet, but he has the potential to be a starting LT in the NFL. It will take some time for him to get use to the strength of NFL players and if his hand placement can improve he could become a starter after a year or two.

Round 5- Traded to move up in 3

Round 6- Previously traded

Round 7-

David Onyemata- DT- Manitoba- 6'3'' 300

I was really impressed with Onyemata when I watched the EW Shrine game. I am equally impressed with his highlights his combination of size and quickness is worth the late round pick despite his level of competition in Canada.

I'd love that draft, but the only offensive player is an OT in the 4th?  Would raise an eyebrow.

I strongly considered D. Henry and H. Henry in 1, if all three of Dodd, Ogbah, and Lawson were gone, I would go that direction. Round 2 DB's were too strong to give consideration elsewhere. With one of Cravens, Joseph, Cash, Neal, or Bell being available, you have to get one.....too much talent and need with only Coleman, Boston, and Marlowe as our current options.

yea, Dodd is definitely my first choice.  The only player I MIGHT want more than him that has a chance of being available is Ogbah.  I'm torn which I like better.  I think Dodd's floor is higher, but Ogbah's ceiling is higher.

And agreed about the 2nd round, I'm not sold on Cravens but I'd like him in the 2nd.  Definitely would like Joseph in the 2nd, he's my favorite S in the draft.  Cash would also be good in the 2nd.  Dunno the others enough to have a strong opinion, haven't watched anything on Neal and what I have watched on Bell hasn't been overly impressive but not bad enough for me to hate the pick in the 2nd.
