I kind of hope JR sells the team to someone decent before his heirs just sell to the highest bidder and we end up with a crappy owner. It's hard to have ongoing success when your owner sucks.

Bruton owns Charlotte Motor Speedway.  He's a colassal douche bag and held the city of Concord hostage over him building a drag strip.  

They have demo'd the backstretch since the sport has taken a nose dive because they sterilized and neutered the drivers.

They also tore down at least 2 or 3 sectionsbetween turns 3 and 4 last month.

He's not the only owner and there is already a succession plan in place when he does pass.

Jordan's entire net worth is $1.1 billion. The Panthers would sell for a minimum of $1.5 billion. So no, he isn't even close to being able to buy the Panthers with just cash.

The Bills sold for like $1.3B a few years with a smaller market and terrible stadium. The Panthers would probably go for closer to $2B right now. In 5-10 years when the sale might actually occur it could be significantly higher. NFL teams have insane values.
