To be fair in regards to how the characters interact, they are not as far into the outbreak as Rick's group were when we met them, at least I do not think they are.  They are still learning to trust each other.  They also have Strand (much tougher to trust than anybody in that group) and Daniel (much less trusting than really anybody anywhere) so that will take some time.  You could be right though and a chemistry issue could also have something to do with it.

I agree with your assessment of the characters as well.  Daniel is my favorite at this point, followed by Strand and Nick (hated him last year as well).

The original picked up about two weeks after the outbreak, and in FTWD we're now about one week into it.  But I think it is more than the character's chemistry, it doesn't feel like the actors themselves are totally comfortable yet.  Of course, that is subjective, and others may not feel the same, it's just the sense I get.

Also, to be fair, Andrew Lincoln is supposed to be an amazing person to work with and has really brought that group together.  I've heard several of the actors talk about how he made everyone very relaxed from day one.  I'm not sure if there is anyone in this cast that is the glue like that, so it may take a bit more time to build that level of chemistry

Oh, was that all?  I thought it started farther into the outbreak.  Thanks for the correction

Im hoping we haven't seen the last of Alex.  She is badass and could potentially be my favorite character, if they can develop her more. She knows what's up with the dead, really interested to see her background.

That look...she mad

No, it was about 50ish days that Rick was in a coma actually.  Shane and all of them were together for a bit before Rick found them.    So the outbreak happened weeks before Rick showed up so that group had some experience.    FTWD's people haven't encountered too much since they were able to get on that boat and were in that zone.  They have way less experience with it.  They also didn't have a cop (Shane) and another cop (Rick) to help them in tough situations.

It was theorized on Talking Dead last week that maybe Connor's boat picked up Alex and the other kid on the dingy. They knew that Alex got her supplies from someone else, so they questioned her. That's how they knew people's names and how to find the boat, since Alex likely overheard the plans.

It is a good theory, and maybe Connor indeed isn't as bad as we are led to believe. This would also mean that Alicia isn't solely to blame for the group finding them.

I didn't watch it, but wasn't Alex the one in the webisode series before this season started?  I'm sure we'll see her again, else why make a webisode series about her?  That's a good theory and makes sense.

I also like this show better than TWD.  But maybe because we both read the source material of TWD?  That seems to be case from around the web.  The ones that read the comic before the show seem to enjoy FTWD more because they aren't stepping on source material I think.

That's possible, I suppose. But a friend of mine also made a similar comment. He likes FTWD better so far than TWD. He also likes GoT better than all of them. He hasn't read the comics though, and his logic is that GoT hits you with new stuff week in and week out, and doesn't get overly dramatic and stretching things out. With TWD he feels like each week is just a lot of delaying the end result.

I mean, I like all three shows, obviously. But, there is something to be said when other people see the same things wrong with a show that you do, but for different reasons.

Also, yes, Alex was on the webisodes. I figured we would see her again because they built it up a lot for only one episode worth of seeing her in FTWD.

I have actually never read a single one of the comics.  At this point I much prefer FTWD to TWD.  Comparing the first couple of years though it is close.  The problem for me with TWD is that most of the characters I really enjoyed were killed off (not always a bad thing) and the ones that they have replaced them with have been mostly uninteresting.  There are really only three characters left that I care about and none of them (Carol, Daryl, and Michonne) are as interesting at this moment as they were in the past.

I find Daniel, Strand, and Nick all to be equal or better at this moment than anybody on the other show and even their less intersting characters are better than the secondary characters on TWD.

As to GoT, yeah that is far far superior to both shows, it is not even close.  That and The Leftovers are the only two shows where I do not care what else is going on, I will drop everything, turn off my phone, and zone in on that show.  Everything else I have no problem watching the following day or later in the week.

I could have sworn I heard an interview with Robert Kirkman and he said it wasn't as far along as most think, only about 2 weeks.  But I looked it up and you're right.  The first day of season 1 starts on day 60 of the outbreak.  I must be remembering him talking about a different event and got the two mixed up.  Thanks for the correction.

I like it but i don't watch it weekly. It's much better if you save up a few episodes and watch them all at once. It actually feels like things are happening then.

You guys should have your own thread and talk about it together.

Speaking of haters, where are all those people that hated Nick from season one?
