Mob killings had nothing on gangland killings of this generation. Both of which go largely under reported, the mob because of lack of technology (or bodies) gang violence because its simply too damn prevalent. Nice try, insert quarter and play again.

Every generation will have a scourge and its own issues. No one can deny that violence and crime are an unfortunate part of any society. I wasn't speaking to the extremes and outliers such as the mafia, gangs, spies, wars, etc. As a whole this generation (which I'm most definitely apart of) is much quicker to pull out a gun and kill you as a means of retribution rather than settling things face to face and letting it end there. We are of an instant gratification and instant solution mindset and its a legitimate problem. No one is allowed to have their feelings hurt and they will kill to defend that... its fuggin twisted as hell.

I don't know if that's true either...   Hah

This sucks, was getting ready for work when I saw this this morning and it made my blood run cold. My heart goes out to Mr. Smith, his wife, and all of their friends and family. To the Saints organization and fans as well. An absolute shame to lose someone so young for any reason much less one as dumb as this. Prayers to the wife that she may pull through her injuries and for her grief in this terrible time.

What has happened to cause our modern society to become so weak and dishonorable. Say what you will about the old days but they were MEN. You could have a disagreement and even beat the crap out of one another and handle business. Hell some of my best friends in life started out as guys I had fights with. Now, if someone wrongs you people get so butt hurt that they have to kill the other person. No pride, no honor, no one willing to learn from their mistakes and move forward.

Personal editorial note... too many puzzy's out there getting told they are special and getting everything handed to them. Screw the participation trophies, the world doesn't owe you a damn thing. We need to learn to WORK again. That HARD work, sweat and honesty are what build a man and make him great. Going through the hurt and the pain and the disappointment are what makes life great when you break through. Government doesn't owe you sh1t, your family doesn't owe you sh1t.... YOU OWE YOURSELF!!!!!!

I bet as the life drained away from Will Smith his last thoughts were about how badly he wished someone would use his death as an excuse to get on a soapbox and shitpost about the good ol days.

Read that he made no attempt to leave the scene. No one restrained him. He just sat in his car and waited till police arrived.

Shock? Resignation? Regret? Heck, who knows at this point?

I'd say that's strange behavior, but then what would murder be?

so, a guy who's father was killed by the police rear ends a pro football player whom the guy knew from working team security after dining with the police officer responsible for the death of his father, they exchange words and then the guy executes the player then makes no attempt to flee the scene.

wtf?

you don't have to go back too far to find a time when it wasn't uncommon for a dispute between two men to be settled by shooting at each other

"There may have been an earlier accident, in which one of the parties sped off," Fuller said. "My client followed in an attempt to get the license information, and also made a 911 call to report such an accident, all of which should be apparent in upcoming weeks."

Fuller said "it's possible" that someone in Smith's group also had a gun,

Fuller said his client not only was the first to call 911, but that Hayes also waited for police to arrive and "secured a witness who was about to leave the scene" after the shooting.

"His actions are totally consistent with someone that is complying with police investigations," Fuller said. "Now tell me if that's the behavior that's consistent with someone who is an animal out here, looking for blood.

"He was struck in a hit-and-run prior to this incident occurring. My client was hit. The person that hit him sped off. My client followed behind that person in an effort to get their license plate, and my client called 911, which will be verified in the upcoming weeks. My client's car was struck from the rear. I really don't know which car (he was chasing), but all that will become apparent in upcoming weeks."

Fuller said his client not only was the first to call 911, but that Hayes also waited for police to arrive and "secured a witness who was about to leave the scene" after the shooting.

Fuller said he will cease representing Cardell Hayes on Monday, when a hearing to determine the defendant's new counsel will be held. Fuller is to begin serving at least six months as a pro team judge in Section D of Criminal District Court starting May 2 and is prevented from representing clients while serving on the bench.

This is probably one of the worst posts I've ever seen. Way to expose your ignorance on how the world works.

I disagree here. Every generation is getting better and better. There will always be a handful of individuals who just suck and bring down everyone else but if you look at the 7.4 billion people on this earth, most are good people. If you think about what happened 60-70 years ago millions of people were being killed in gas chambers, atomic bombs were killing thousands, North and South Koreas killing each other, and Vietnam war. If you look at today Europe, Japan, South Korea, are pretty good. We just got ISIS and North Korea to deal with. I'm willing to bet those will eventually modernize like the rest of the world.

You probably don't stay on the huddle that much if this is the worst post you've seen. What is wrong with the post? States his condolences and mentions society as getting more trigger happy than wiling to settle disputes that don't involve guns. Did you even read it?

It's uneducated crap beyond the first paragraph. It's something I'd expect everybody's drunk uncle to post on facebook.
