Gonzo

Just remember that Vick isn't there anymore, meaning the QB won't throw to the TE on EVERY friggin' play. Plus there's Roddy. Good ole Charleston boy sleepin' with the enemy.

Amen to that.

Ryan is a hard worker, unlike Vick and D Hall, both were lazy Bums

Thomas Davis is the answer.

Except he has not the last four years. Neither did spoon, nor beason nor morgan. The lack luster d scheme plays into TEs hands by giving the underneath and allowing the offense easy plays to move the ball down the field. TE scares the pee out of me for tomorrow.

norwood and gonzo are the things on their offense that concerns me the most.

those guys got as many targets as white and jenkins last week but did a lot more with it.

we don't exactly have a record of containing TEs and pass catching RBs.

WRs....against the eagles i think the secondary did a pretty good job of containing the WRs but RBs and TEs...not so much. celek was targeted 8 times and caught 7 of them. he didn't have a catch for over 10 yards but he got a TD on one of them and chewed up a little more than 5 yards per catch.

i think gonzo is going to do a little more than that. the good thing is you know that ryan is going to be targeting him a lot. the bad thing is that he will do it on any given down. norwood will at least only be used on 2nd and 3rd downs. i think norwood will be getting more carries because his style of running can do more damage.

turner only has to be dealt with on first downs for the most part...occasionally on 2nd and you know where he is going to run. turner is predictable. you just have to be able to stop him.

But he had 17 yards against us last year! Antonio Gates had 61 yards! Don't even get me started on what Shockey did to us.

I think the idea that the Panthers struggle with tight-ends is a bit dated.

i don't know. last year they were still giving up a good 3-5 catches per game to TEs consistently which was about 40-50 yards per game. probably 5 or 6 TDs last year come from them.

last week the receiver who did the most damage was celek. tampa 2 leaves the TE open a bit more. they can be contained but i would expect a bit more of that type performance against us. the good thing is i think the WRs are a little more contained of course it has only been one game.
