Would be a great thing for the Panthers to open the season on Thursday night. 

 

This will be the only time a Thursday night game will ever be a good thing. Full week to prepare as the 4th preseason game doesn't even really count as a game and is at home, no travel. Starters won't play. Then after, 10 days to prepare for week 2. 

 

Sounds like a 2-0 start to me.

might also avoid a late season messy weather slop fest there, would help dampen their banner raising, would get their QB in his first game there, would set the tone for the year...too many reasons to count why this would be huge.  No reason this shouldn't happen.

I think New England has to play in Denver this year, so I'd bank on that being the opening game. Would still prefer us, just wouldn't lay money on it

On one hand it takes good teams that become bad a couple weeks to realize they suck and implode, so they may not look as feeble week 1 as they will by week 8

 

But IDC. Bring em on. Annihilating them on banner night and letting them know its over may be the only way for me to get on board for next season with the same anticipation I've had every previous year of my fanhood
