America doesn't like to forgive. America likes to quickly label people as "good" or "evil" with limited information to do so.

Can we agree that one of the things Hardy is really guilty of is putting himself in terrible situations?  I mean, it's 2016, which is very different from the "good ole days" of player behavior in the NFL.

Here's the deal with Hardy.  He was fun while he was here, and we worked with his idiosyncratic nature.  But he still did other really dumb things like speeding, the horrific rapping career (at least Greg let that go and laughs at it now a days), and then added the whole Holder issue (I don't want to get into that because of the many points made otherwise).

Lets get down to it: at 27, he's still got good tread on the tires.  He was always a good run guy, did the dirty work.  He was developing into an elite pass rusher (though again, in 2013, 7 sacks came in two weeks, NO and ATL, IIRC).  He was going to get a MEGA deal.  He was going to be come the crown prince of Charlotte and the Carolinas.  Then...yeah...

Since then, he hasn't shown that he grew up.  He still makes asinine comments.  He isn't exactly a model teammate in Dallas (which he should have used as his comeback tour), and now there is ZERO interest in him...Hrm, I wonder why...

Can we be real?  Maybe the head ache isn't worth the player anymore?  Could simply be that the Panthers have already done that dance and have determined they are better off without him?  Much like most of the NFL?  I don't know, I'm just an arm-chair football fan, not an NFL decision maker.

thomas only sees what he wants to see.  If he saw what the photographs ACTUALLY showed (as you explain above), that would explode his defense of Saint Gregory.

Here's one thing a huge, strong guy "restraining" a woman could *easily* do if he is truly "restraining" her... restrain her right outside his front door, shut the door, and lock it.  For SOME REASON, Saint Gregory chose not to do that.  Instead, he chose to "restrain" her arms, legs, neck, back, and feet.  Defense of this type of behavior strains credulity.

EDIT for the colorblind: The south is the line on top. signifying that the bible belt, indeed, has the highest rate of domestic abuse among regions.

Any domestic violence statistical map  is pretty much just a bible belt map.

For real though, Hardy threads are like the Wal Mart of huddle threads. Tons of stupid with plenty to see and judge. I'm just sick of Greg Hardy. I really don't care about him anymore and I'm tired of everyone bitching and moaning about him in one way or the other. I wish the whole Hardy topic would fug right off becasue it does nothing but bring out the worst of this website. 

When it comes down to it, Hardy is a giant distraction. We nearly went undefeated without him last year, we don't need him. We didn't lose the Super Bowl due to lack of Hardy, we lost due to mental mistakes and turnovers. 

I don't give a crap if he did or didn't do it, because I don't give a crap about him. He put himself in the situation regardless and I don't want dumbasses like that on the team. I'm happy with Josh Norman's brand of eccentricity that doesn't come with a scoop of self destructive behavior. He's a goofball, Hardy is a Dumbass. Can we please just move on? Please? It's been nearly two years.

Nobody knows what happened but the system dropped the charges.  THAT is not the issue.  The issue is him having already served 21 games for misdemeanor charges when Thomas Rawls and Frank Clark are felons chosen by the Seahawks and no one cares.  There are criminals in this league unfortunately just as there are in ALL professions, including the POTUS, as the last three presidents have at a minimum all admitted to using illegal drugs.  Hardy has done his time and in this dog eat dog business would unquestionably be the best value in the entire league if signed.

I'm not arguing against him playing in the league. I just don't believe his story. Saying he is more believeable because the charges were dropped is delusional.

Maybe not if he was taking up $13 mil of the cap, but for little/no cap hit?  Why?  This team is already hated nationally and has an impenetrable wall of leaders.  The last full year he was here we would have been the #1 seed if DeAngelo didn't fumble and the year before we were flat out better than the #1 seed head to head
