Of course not.  It's because they turned their back on him as chair of the LA committee.  The guy is old and wants the trophy.  As a fellow human being it wouldn't shock me if he wakes up one day and says F it and gives GMan the green light.  That's what I'm saying.

OK, that makes more sense.

I don't agree, but at least its rational.  :P

Because of his past with us, and the belief that many in the Media feel that we waited to long to do anything, Hardy coming back here will bring more negative attention on us than just about any other team he might go to.  That is why he isn't coming here.  I don't think the front officer or the coaching staff wants the distraction.

And we don't really need him.

Yeah, but Hardy never used that as an excuse. That is Smitty-esque induction. He didn't deny all culpability. But, like I said, he absolutely did not beat the crap out of the young woman. The evidence points more toward restraint than woman beating. Seriously, if Hardy had even slapped the girl, there would be evidence. If he punched her, she would been likely incapacitated. This was a fight between two drunken fools, one with a more questionable reputation in reference to actual criminal conduct.

At present we don't NEED him but you never know.  Logically we'd go from the favorite to the greatest team of all time.

As for negative pub, Tom Brady's case may go to the SUPREME Court and UNC is playing tonight after decades of documented, unprecedented cheating at countless levels.  Greg Hardy's he said/she said is in the PAST.

To be fair the media criticised us last season quite a lot, and that was simply because we was winning and acting in a fashion they didn't like. If we play the same way next season, and our players continue to celebrate, the media is going to criticise us again. And while I don't particularly like Greg Hardy the person, as long as he comes in and works hard and plays hard, sod what the media think and say because we are probably going to be criticised anyway...

A North Carolina judge and (then) Charlotte prosecutors would beg to disagree with you, counselor.

And, golly, wasn't Miss Holder's surprising disappearance for the trial just *amazingly* coincidental?  I'm sure she didn't show up because she felt really guilty about telling lies about Saint Gregory and not that she was paid off to not show up by an abuser and his lawyer.

Oh, the almighty wonderful and just wards of the American legal system, and North Carolina's to boot. Gimme a break! This same legal system allows people to pay people off regardless of guilt or innocence, because of economic concerns, or just to avoid bad publicity. Like I said, Give...me...a...break!

Steve Smith, Greg Hardy, Josh Norman.

For whatever reason, there's a segment of this fanbase that will always defend you no matter what as long as you play with a bit of an unhinged personality, no matter what negativity that may bring to the rest of the team.

He will be back on a deal similar to what Boykin got, basically free

Just a matter of if JR will allow it and JR probably believes he's paid his dues and has another chance

What I wouldn't give for you to be right.

Wouldn't be any more negative press than the negative press about Cam dancing and that had no impact on us last season. In fact it probably made our locker room even closer.

The case was dropped because of lack of evidence that any assault took place by Hardy. If there was any evidence of the crime, they would not have needed Holder at all. It's the definition of a he-said she-said when the case has to be dropped because she isn't there to say anything.
