I haven't been reading a lot of the offseason fodder like I have in the past for various reasons this year, but can someone explain to me the rationale behind this "JR is still pissed at the league" stuff i keep seeing in this thread?

We all know JR isn't a spry Big Cat these days, and, nonetheless, spent many waking hours as the "most respected owner" heading a committee over the handling of the league's most important issue-returning to LA.  The Chargers wanted to move.  Literally it was as if the other 30 pissed on years of Jerry's work http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2016/01/21/inside-the-owners-meetings-how-and-why-the-rams-were-really-able-to-move-to-l-a/

This is conspiracy theory level stuff. There was a great article about JR posted last week detailing everything he's done and how his outlook is changing as he gets older. It's not just his shoulder, it's his knees/hips or something as well. He had a heart transplant a few years back and surgery on other body parts have increased risks associated with them after a heart surgery. He's playing it cautious and trying to slow down in life. He's basically getting too old to run around doing the bidding of the NFL anymore. Not really a personal vendetta, just a guy getting old realizing his limitations.

^ The article I linked used the word "vehemently" backed the Carson project.  Other articles list direct JR quotes.  The guy was chitted on by the other owners, backstabbed, whatever, or at the absolute minimum, he wasted a ton of his precious time on their behalf for nothing.  I'm upset for him and it wasn't my personal time.

It's not like every college and high school football player get to play in the professionals, and the pros is where you are getting the large majority of your brain damage, not playing high school and college

You have the same chance of getting brain damage playing high school baseball, basketball or lacrosse as you do playing high school football .. the hits in college and high school arent the problem

In the event you are a troll and I'm just walking into a trap or talking to a wall, you got me bro, but if you are at all a reasonable human being, here are numerous sources that detail CTE, how it is acquired, and how you don't have to be a pro athlete to develop it. Any repeated head trauma is it's cause, not repeated head trauma in the NFL.

I haven't seen the pictures.  But why over a year after the initial trial do these surface or were these evidence?

If they weren't evidence why so late.  Why were they released a week or so before his time was up.  Doesn't that seem so coincidental?  It does to me.  Especially with DV being the flavor of the year for the NFL.

If they weren't evidence than playing devil's advocate who says those are real at all?  Furthermore, everyone wants forget the psycho bitch that was involved in this.  We aren't talking a woman that just pissed him off.  She was high and instigating the whole thing.

I got where we wanted to cut ties with this guy but at one point we like him.

Let's not forget that Hardy was a member of this forum and well like.

Me personally, I would bring him back under a highly conditioned contract.  I like G. Hardy and he would do wonders to make the Panther Defense #1.

and you can give up the donte stallworth angle.  he literally took a felony conviction via plea deal because he thought it was the right thing to do.  his attorneys actually advised him to go to trial because they felt he had a great shot at an acquittal but he refused.  he's still on probation, was suspended for a year without pay, and won't ever be able to drive in florida again.  as far as rich people go he didn't get off easy.

dumb, fuggin dumb, if your innocent, there's no reason to admit guilt. Proud of Hardy's take on the situation, he'd rather fight and not submit to the media pressure of just saying he's guilty, instead he'd rather risk his career to not have the woman beater status follow him everywhere, granted it's not working well at the moment but that's because people like Michelle Beadle and steve smith aren't making it easier.
